    Thank you all for the nice comments I think the trick to using rattle cans is to be patient and not try and cover all in one go as tempting as it is and I also use an old hairdryer between coats to speed things up a bit (not my hairdryer though)...... Cheers Ray

    Thank you all for your kind comments, I enjoyed building the Roden kit. The Negus livery is my favourite of the BA liveries but I do also have a soft spot for the Utopia/World liveries

    Hi all. Here is my latest completed model. Roden 1/144 Vickers Super VC10 with my own decals. Painted using Holts rattle cans - Appliance white, Dark Blue HNAV09, Red HRE20 and light grey HGREY01. Cheers Ray

    Just picked up a couple of them from Hannants, it's a cute little kit and have started work on re-scaling my 1/72 decals for it

    Hi All. Finally got this one finished. Kit went together without too many problems , clear cockpit part needed a bit of fettling. Painted with Holts appliance white, Holts Blue HNAV09 and Holts Red HRE20 Background pic is of LHR from my own collection

    Thanks again for all of your kind comments and yes the backdrop is LGW. I wish I did have the time and space to make models using all of my decals but with over 1200 I don't think it will be happening this life time Now back to the X-Scale Trident 1 and the Roden Super VC10 (both BA Negus).

    Hi All. Here is my latest finished model. Roden Boeing 720B kit with my own Maersk decals. The blue is painted with Halfords Ford Olympic Blue which is a very close match to Xtracolor Maersk blue Cheers Ray

    The series 10,20,30,40 & 50 were all the same length.

    CP Air didn't use the series 30, they used the -43 with Rolls Royce Conways which look similar to the DC-8-30 PW engines.

    Thanks for your suggestions gents, I think I have an Italeri in the stash so will dig it out. I'm just surprised Revell didn't include the option in the kit.
