  1. sorry, stupid photobucket links . I'll try again
  2. Hi all I plan to build my Grandfathers ship HMCS Buctouche showing its evolution throughout its career using 3 of the 1/144 Revel kits. Hoping for your opinions in my search to figure out what colour scheme HMCS Buctouche wore as seen in 1941.These are new photos to me and I'm stumped on the possible colour scheme, the funnel band ( white and ?) and the pennant K179 colour (white?) Knowing that these are white, it leads me to believe it might be a possible 507c/ 507a or is it a very dirty off white and WA blue/green? https://app.photobucket.com/u/moose1512/p/cfa6188f-10a5-4c2c-8c7e-edadd217e461 The starboard profile appears to be taken as she was getting a new paint job and finished sometime possibly late 42/ early43 https://app.photobucket.com/u/moose1512/p/b3957ca0-6686-4230-a0fe-fea91a934975 Completed new paint B55/ Off White along with a 20mm Oerlikon in the aft tub replacing the 2 twin .5 cal. prior to her extended foscle conversion modernization late 43 to early 44. https://app.photobucket.com/u/moose1512/p/8a8d490c-92a3-46a8-baef-46037c530bfe Final appearance in 44 https://app.photobucket.com/u/moose1512/p/e9d20716-506f-4356-b957-84f4aefd058e I am familiar with her 44 scheme and built it a couple of years ago in 1/72 Thanks for your time Cheers Ryan
  3. Hi Al...yes to the 1/96 JRH500 3 Bar Equal. Pure luck it scaled out based on the the kit/eduard rails. I used 2 different gauges of wire for the pipe railing and a little thinner for the rope rails, but not sure what gauges. Big fan of your 1/72 RN figures. Cheers Ryan
  4. Thanks for the comments....the L'Arsenal detail set was great and highly recommended for quick detailing ( the 20mm Oerlikons are amazing). The Eduard stuff was good for what I used, but limited from set 1 and 2.
  5. First time posting on this site. HMCS Vancouver built using the 1/144 Revell Corvette detailed with Eduard PE, L'Arsenal and Shapeways. The rails are JR Haynes 1/96 3 bar cut down into 2 bar and wire....they look the part and are much better than the Eduard PE which allowed flexibility after the RCN mods. Thanks for looking
