  1. Hi everyone l have been looking for white capital letters and numbers in varying sizes for a few WWI scratch build projects l have in mind. I have looked until blue blue in face, but no luck so far. I work in 1:32 and 1/35 scale. please please help if you can! Thanks in advance Andrew
  2. Fantastic modelling there! I think l may as well go and smash up all my efforts... 😜 cheers Andrew
  3. Hi DA very much looking forward to following this build. I expect to learn much along the way! cheers Andrew
  4. Very nice work, sir! I like the fact you haven’t weathered it to death 😊 cheers Andrew
  5. Beautiful work there. Your friend is a superb model maker.
  6. Good for you 😊 you will enjoy the build despite my whiny whinging; and we do need more WWI builders on here. I find the whole era’s technology utterly fascinating despite it being centred around what must have been absolute bloody hell. Lest we forget. cheers Andrew PS: l will pop a photo or two into my topic about the howitzer. Just so you can see that you can easily do better!
  7. I have not experienced any of the said problems above. I do, however, seem to have been adopted by a cat who used to live up the street but now thinks our house represents more suitable accomodations…. and you lot think YOU have problems... oh I also have problems with mz kezpad as zou can see. It seems to disagree with Brexit or something as it wants to be a French or German pad but with English preferences. Ok. so did anz of the above make sense...
  8. Fantastic work and amazing result... l salute you!😊

    re-starting!

Welcome (back) to modelling, Worms 😊 it seems like there are more than a handful of us who’ve left the hobby for a number of decades and then, in our dotage 😜, returned to be further tortured by this or that tiny piece that just flies away never to be found again. Enjoy this place; it has been a Godsend for me! Cheers Andrew
  10. I have to say that, as there has been discussion about the various types and also the Roden kits, l am currently losing the will to live as l am battling with the 1914 version by Roden.... ghastly kit. It makes the BL 8” howitzer kit look like a dream by comparison 😩😩😩
  11. That looks really really good! I stick to WWI stuff but l love surfing on here and seeing what other people manage to accomplish 😊
  12. Beautiful work there, superb modelling. I don’t do anything other than WWI but l am very taken by your model and the level of workmanship. Excellent! 😊
  13. Actually, it’s not that bad at all. You should have a go! Cheers Andrew
  14. Beautiful and very professional work! Smashing stuff cheers Andrew
  15. Fantastic modelling there, Andy! Beautifully done. Massive thumbs up! cheers Andrew
  16. Obviously l was being very silly as l know you completed an extremely fine job on your scratch build. But a link to it would be appropriate for this thread 😊
  17. Hi Ben and thanks. I know WD and thanks for the reminder! Andrew
  18. Call me shrewd, but l reckon you could probably produce a very fine German tank (WWI) in 1/48 with a bit of work. I know you want to. 😜😜😜
  19. Hmm. It’s not that my post was so interesting that it needed to be posted twice. Any how, a heads up for people building the type 2 truck. The radiator seemed to arrive off the line in many forms, so feel free to search and choose. Also, if you are choosing the second livery option , be aware that the ‘number plate’ transfer is extremely fragile and falls apart very quickly. Cut out, and slide onto your prepped backing plate... if lucky, you’ll get it all or most of it to transfer. cheers Andrew
  20. Hi Steve l agree, some British lorries ( not trucks 😜) would be great to see. Especially at the prices ICM can put them out at. I am currently building the series 2 Liberty. Goes together perfectly as usual. Cheers Andrew
  21. Hi Badger 😊 I’m looking forward to this little kit. I have a load of WWI 1/72 kits that l am supposed to work into a diorama at some point in my life... but in all honesty l think possessing said kits is the furthest l may get as l normally work in 1/35 or bigger. Anyway, possession is good, and one can bury oneself in the kits and gloat over them 😜 nothing wrong with a bit of gloating cheers Andrew
