  1. Hello, Aurora never did a Bulldog, this is an old Merit kit. I have heard about a remark about this Aurora DH 10 kit: scratchbuild wings and fuselage. I did one years ago, simply OOB. Have to say it does fit very well and it has a nice set of crew. My advise: simpley build it OOB and look at it as a nice peice of modelkit history. Cheers. P.s. Merlin did a 72 nd scale one as well, beleive it's an awful kit!
  2. Very nice model, I love it! Cheers, Nico
  3. You also used a different landing gear option, so did I!. I dod not fancy that far forward little wheel... Cheers, Nico
  4. Nice one! Makes my wanna take out my Inpact one and start building. Cheers, Nico
  5. Thanks for that link, I just ordered one!! Cheers, nico
  6. Hello, I usually buy from him, but you 'll see if you put on the ordering button there are 0 in stock ... Cheers, nico
  7. Nice job! I am working myself on one of these: http://forum.modelbrouwers.nl/phpBB2/viewt...p=399964#399964 Right now I actually wanna buy one of these dual combo releases. It looks as they are all sold out at the well known UK traders. Cheers, Nico
  8. I believe this says it all: http://www.internetmodeler.com/2006/octobe...rd_nieuport.php Cheers, Nico
  9. Heard about that problem, yes. Did you ever come to finish it? Greetings, nico
  10. You are right it is a ZEN thing. I always went for getting the interplane struts fit at first, and thereafter the outer struts. But,.... I ordered a Jig, and this one (from Schram) will be used the first time following weeks on a Gotha GIV. Cheers, Nico
  11. Very impressing. I just red "A short history of the RFC" On the cover there's a really nice painting of this exact aicraft. Sure would like to do one some day... Cheers, Nico
  12. That sure is looking nice! What decals do you use? Original ones supplied by Roden! On a Dutch webiste we are doing an "early strategic bombers groupbuild" at this moment. Someone was suppose to do a Staaken, but did not make a start... Now most of us do a Roden Gotha. That's also not an easy one! http://forum.modelbrouwers.nl/phpBB2/viewf...a137b7655dce79f Cheers, Nico
  13. Look what I just ordered: http://www.a2zeemodels.co.uk/spad-xiii-lat...sion-2569-p.asp. I think this is going to be my next project after I have finished Roden's Gotha (72nd scale for a change). I could sure use a few more French machines. Cheers, nico
  14. Always nice to see something totally different besides Spit's and Mustangs. Thumps up! Cheers, nico
  15. A friend of mine recently did this particular version from the Battle Ax kit. He sure was amazed that only a few months later Roden did this exact version. Still it's a very cool boxart, but luckily that is what they always do! Cheers, Nico
  16. Yep, and I am the last to say my interpretations are correct! Cheers, Nico
  17. How nice, Especially cause it's a MKIV! These types sure got over the excact place where I am sitting now (Oosterbeek). Cheers, Nico
  18. Thans al, I used my own personal mixtures for the brown. I mixed Revell 84 together with Humbrol 113 (no problem). Beige was Humbrol 169 and green HB 172. There's still plenty of argument over here in Holland what correct colors these aicraft obtained. Cheers, Nico
  19. Hello, I got a Fokker DXXI finished. It was a nice and relatively easy kit to build, no fitting problems. But MPM simply made life easy for them selves not to bother to include some parts. There should be some sort of braces at the elevators (got no idea what there name is), and some other small things are not included. This time I did not bother to scratch build some of these (sorry, summertime and the living is easy). I used a Dutch Decalset for the markings. Unfortunately the White Mice and Pointed Shoes are far too big and the registration number far too small. In the end it's an okay model, but I used it more or less as practice for the upcoming 48 scale version from Classis Airframe. I took the nescessary steps to prevend silvering,.... Cheers, Nico
  20. That was most certainly worth while having a look. Cheers, Nico
  21. Hello, I did both the Roden DVII and the Eduard one. Although the latter is easier to build, the lines and shapes of the Roden DVII appear to be better. I checked some on line built reports, so luckily I was warned with some building problems. Your example turned out nice though! Cheers, nico
  22. Hello, I did one about 1,5 years ago. It simply is an excellent kit (as said). I made a built rapport about it: Visit My Website I know it's in Dutch, but maybe nice for the pic's . Cheers, Nico
  23. Yep, That's a very nice one! Did just the same version a few years ago. Cheers, Nico
  24. As always very nice, but I did not think of the Wellington from MPM to be a COW to build. Allright some adjustmenst should be made, but overall I considered it to be a nice kit. Cheers, Nico
