  1. There Fokker CX Dutch version is a big dissapointment as well. Some patriculars for the Finnish version can still be found on the Dutch one. Furthermore the kit has got decals for a Hispano Suiza engined version. That's utterly cheap thinking, cause the shape of the nose and propeller are totally different. Furthermore also the Dutch roundels and triangles included with the kit can be thrown in the dustbin immediately. I also got a Finnish Hawker Hart, finnished it half way but was at some point got too dissapinted about certain things, that one will probably not get finnished. No, I will not be spending any more money on AZmodels kits. Same stupid mistakes from an ignorant kitmanufacturer time after time. Cheers, Nico
  2. My two favourites: Armstrong Withworth FK 8 Fokker C1. Cheers, Nico
  3. For me AZ Models is always good at dissapointing.... Cheers, nico
  4. My guess would be quit a lot more then 2000 Cheers, Nico
  5. I am doing this kit myself at the moment and am almost at the same point of the build as you are . It went together quit well, but I skrewed up a bit with the alignment of the engine and the rest of the interior. My engine ended up a bit too far to the right and your way of including that big ring behind the propeller at the start would have been of good use to me. Therefor I also had to cheat a bit with the engine covers..... But so far it looks decent enough for me:) I am going for the same marking option as you are going. I tried to emphasise the more yellow look by coating a layer of Tamiya clear yellow over humbrol 93 Sand before doing the burnt umber oil paint. Seeing your fuselage already looks convincing enough, what did you use as base color? Good to have red Roan's comments, I do not have to thing anymore about the red or black option. WNW's advices to use Hb 90 for things like the inspection panels. Probabaly like you too bright an option and I mixed HB 90 with HB 31. Looking forward to your next step. Cheers, Nico
  6. I don't think that will stop him. Cheers, Nico
  7. I posted it to a modelling friend of mine wo intends to do a Contrail one in 48 scale soon! Cheers, Nico
  8. Of any help? http://cgi.ebay.com/Stampe-SV-4b-PJ-Produc...58#ht_500wt_949 Cheers, Nico
  9. I believe shapewise the Roden was is better, for a bit more ease of built and also very good the Eduard one. One of my best modelling friends is a big Brisfit fan and built several of 'm. He actually considers the Blue Max one to be very good, especially the ribs of the wings. The Aeroclub kit also ain't bad. Cheers, Nico
  10. Cause on Ebay they seem to be worth al lot more : http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...IT#ht_500wt_949 Cheers, Nico
  11. In Holland we got a saying fot this: getting old cows out of the ditch... Cheers, Nico
  12. A very nice well done model, my compliments. Cheers, Nico
  13. Very nice subjects. You gonna get a Helldiver too? Cheers, Nico
  14. From what I have heart the fuselage should fit like a glove. Only thing to consider is that not a single drop of paint should be placed on any joints... nice build so far! Cheers, Nico
  15. By now it starts to look like a Finnish Bulldog. These Inpact kits are easy to built. Alle struts line and match perfectly. For rigging I used EZLine. Cheers, Nico
  16. Had one of those, But to me the whole kit was too basic. I think a lot of effort should be done to make it look like a Natasha. I dediced to go for the Azur kit (which is a more modern version of this aircraft). Anyway I always stick to Humbrol 117 to do upper surface of Republican aircraft. Using it right now on a Grumman GG23. Cheers, Nico
  17. Ever tried Tamiya drills? They can brake, but not so easy as most others I had before. Cheers, Nico
  18. Well some parts from my spare box actually. The back of a pointy thing's fueltank, a little knob I put in front of it from the same spares box and another smaller pointy thing on top of the wing. Same part on a built Fokker DXXI 48 scale from Special Hobby made a good example. Many cheers, Nico
  19. Well at least THIS ONE shows a lot of the extra's done so far: The oil cooler has been taken from a SMER Fairey Sworfish. Cheers, Nico
  20. Work done so far: I did not spent too much energy on the interior. Parts with the kit were very basic, but relatively well shaped (especially considering the age of the kit). But a nice pilot helps to make it less obvious. I give up on the pic's. Again, see 'm here: http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/phpBB3/viewtop...13&start=10 Cheers, Nico
  21. I 'd avoid Omega anyway. Incredibly expensive and very very poor quality kits. Cheers, Nico
  22. Well, There are worse places to get lost then Delft (you know in a movie Nosferatu did, but that's another story). I also got that Hawker hart B 4 for this groupbuild. Trying to do not too much investigation on it, cause I do not want to go into too much trouble for it. Cheers, Nico
  23. Well it's absolutely no problem for foreigners to join this forum and especially this groupbuild. Feel free to join the groupbuild (what feel free, I insist ), and if you post in English that's absolute no problem. Cheers, Nico
  24. Missed pic's : Do not get it, I drop the link to the album and it seems to get changed, ah well look here then. Same thread, but on a Dutch website (we'ere doing a Winterwar G/B): http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/phpBB3/viewtop...168&t=30313 Cheers, Nico
