hi ted, re your photo using the two white cards for a backdrop, professional photographers when taking still life photo,s use white paper( or similar) and drape it with a gentle curve between the base and the back of the backdrop, it prevents a line at the joint between base and back.just a small thing ,but works.

i use water pipe insulation, the foam type that is in 2 m lenths that clips around the pipe usually for 15 or 22mm pipe, just cut the one side off to allow it to stand, and use coctail sticks or sprue, seems to work ok

hi my canon goes to focus mode when shutter is half pressed, when panning half press so it focusses as you pan then its in focus when you fire the shutter, if you go to a f1 race 90% of camera men use canon as the focus is so good for sport action vigilant
