In an effort to complete my Blue Angels collection, here is the Bearcat in 1/48 scale from Hobbyboss. Nice simple kit with excellent fit all round. Finished in Vallejo FS15050 with superb Draw Decals markings.

The newish Airfix Tiger Moth in 1/48 scale. Another nice little kit with no real problems in build. Built and finished out of the box. As always self-inflicted build issues around the top wing which I left off unitl near the end, after applying decals and partial rigging. Matching the red was a challenge as the red I used was slightly different to the kit decals, which I have to say were excellent.

This is the new Airfix Chipmunk in 1/48 scale. Nice little kit but the cockpit canopy gave me a bit of grief. It comes in three pieces with a little jig to ensure the right angles. The wings also needed a bit of bracing to stop a distinct droop on the outer sections.
It's finished with Hataka acrylics and an Xtradecal sheet slightly modified to represent WZ875, the first Chipmunk I flew in at RAF Turnhouse in 1976.20210926_210011 by Derek N.Ferguson, on Flickr

It's been a while but after a few months of a break from modelling, I thought I'd build this one.
Special Hobby Bristol M-1C in 1/32 scale, which is about the perfect scale for aeroplanes of this size. The kit goes together very well and I hand painted it in Humbrol acrylics 98 Chocolate and 41 Ivory. I thought the Humbrol colour was a reasonable stab at a PC-12 finish. I used Alleycat decals to finish the model as a (slightly fictitious) example from 72Sqn. RAF in Mesopotamia in 1918.

I thought it might be of interest to see the two Rafales together, A and M.

Another Dassault delta. This time Revell's take on the Rafale M. Pretty decent kit overall. Finished with excellent Syhart decals as the kit decals were a bit old.

The latest addition to my Mirage family. This is the AMK Kfir C2. A lovely kit with excellent detail and fit. Finished in Vallejo acrylics, Gunship grey, dark gull grey and light compass grey in the markings of ATAC aircraft N401AX.

A kit I've wanted to build for years and I managed to find one reasonably priced on Ebay. Built with a few extras from Eduard; masks, interior etc. and decals from Xtradecal. An excellent kit despite its vintage with mostly great fit. Finished as EE136 "WS-R" Spirit of Russia of 9Sqn RAF with Hataka red range range acrylics.
Now to find somewhere to put it...

Did you use the kit decals?
The kit is indeed complicated, but can definitively be build to a great standard
as you nicely demonstrate!
the Spanish Mirage III or planchetas (iron) were all based at Manises/ Valencia by the way!
🇪🇸
Yes, kit decals. Pretty good they are too.

Another Dassault delta, this time Heller's Mirage IVP. No doubt one of the best looking aeroplanes of its era, it's quite a straight forward kit and gows together quite easily. It's finished the markings of L'Armee de L'Air unit 1/91 "Gascogne" based at Mont-de-Marsan in 1995. I used the RAF Dark Sea Grey and Dark Green from Hataka's red range. The decals weren't great, due to age I suspect. Anyway, here it is.

My latest in a series of Dassault deltas. This is Kinetic's Mirage IIIE. Not the easiest kit I've built. By trying to make as many versions available as possible, the kit's engineering is quite complicated, especially in the fuselage/nose/air intake area. Anyway, with some brute force, lots of glue, some filler and a smattering of profanities, it went together. Finished as a Mirage IIIEE of ALA 11 of the Ejercito del Aire, I used Hataka RAF Ocean Grey and RLM 80 Dark green with Vallejo Aluminium undersides.

I remember the Esci kit. I think I built it as a Canadian one. Easiest paint job I suppose.
Thanks for taking the time to comment folks. Very much appreciated. Now onto the Kinetic kit.

Thanks for taking the time to comment folks. Very much appreciated, Now should I add a Rafale C or M?

Quite an old kit and not particularly easy either. Fit was tricky in places and the decals were a bit of a nightmare. Still, here it is.

A model I've wanted to build for ages. Hasegawa's F-104G finished with Caracal decals as NASA N826NA. Lovely kit to build and decals were excellent too. Note to self, leave the wings off until after decalling.

The first aircraft operated by the Blue Angels and only for a very few shows. Eduard's Hellcat is a lovely kit and goes together very well. Finished in Hataka acrylics and once again excellent Draw decal markings in gold.

What surprised me was how much bigger the Hellcat was compared to the Bearcat. I always thought it was the other way round.
