Well, half of what you're saying is Greek to me. (mechanics and techno are not my lingos.) But it looks spooky as hell and I think what you're doing will be killer. IMHO, the larger image make more of a statement.
Keep going, this is very cool.
Cheers from .NYC,
Michael
Stopping point??? You can't quit now!! It's just gettin' really good!! That's like when things are gettin hot and heavy, and you've fumblin around and finally got her bra unsnapped....and then she says, " I gotta go home now".
NO WAY!!
Man....I think this everytime you post: I wish I were working on my Gotha now, because you're giving us a step-by-step tutorial on how to build this behemouth properly.
Damn....I may just go ahead and jump in.........
Neat to see the work you did earlier in the year coming together with the work you're doing now, Steve. That must be a good feeling of satisfaction.

It takes a man with balls of steel to cut up a perfectly good kit. But it's the right thing to do for a build of this level of detail. Bravo!
Big cheers from NYC,
Michael
I also missed the part about putting the grove into the flywheel to turn it into a pulley....that will lead to the generator. Again, I will not pretend I know mechanics and engines so, now only will what you're doing help me make my next Merc. engine build more accurate, it's also just plain nice to know what parts are which and what they do on the real engine. It adds to the enjoyment of the whole operation. Thanks for taking the time to make all this clear!
Cheers
Just catching up here.....been crazed.... It just keeps getting better and better, Steve.
Please explain to me which part is the breather.
Cheers from NYC,
Michael
