  1. I've been following this since it began. Bravo, Ced! This turned out great. Chris
  2. I have already started replacing my PB hosted images with Flickr hosted ones. So far, I've only managed to get through about 4 pages of my 71 pages of activity. Of course, I started with the oldest and working forward. As I still have my paid up PB account, all of them are still viewable, at least until the end of the year. Chris
  3. Some info: http://www.pangea-systems.com/wwiiws/aircraft/bombs/ http://www.bombfuzecollectorsnet.com/USERIMAGES/OP 1668 Italian & French Explosive Ordnance.PDF Chris
  4. If I might be so bold as to add one small comment. Maybe brush a little bit of whatever flat coat you have over the crew's flight suits. They're a bit too glossy, at least to my eye. All else looks good. As I'm a bit of a Beaufighter junkie, I shall be following your build. Chris
  5. WARNING - CONTAINS NUDITY! What a shocking display! That a great looking build. Most original. Chris
  6. Greetings from deepest Kanuckistan! This place be great. Chris
  7. Bravo, Patrick, well done. Is that a new ( relatively ) release or one of the older SH or MPM kits. I have an older MPM A-17A that I thought I might build as an RCAF Nomad but just want to make sure I use the proper engine combination. Chris
  8. Welcome from The Great White North. When posting pictures from Flickr, use the EMBED option, then copy and paste the code. Chris
  9. Agreed! I've never bought CA from a hobbystore. They usually charge more for it. For many years, I used to " borrow " various CA's from the instrumentation shop at the plant where I worked. Now that I'm retired, I just go to one of the local hardware stores. Once, I even used the stuff my daughter uses to stick false fingernails on with. It wasn't great but better than a kick in the cobblers. Chris
  10. There was this one. Not sure of the quality of the kit. Chris
  11. To quote the famous song by The Eagles: You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. Chris
  12. Some pics: http://axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?253 Chris
  13. Greetings from an ol' git from across the pond. Happy birthday, too. This is a great forum with great people in it. Most any type of question can and will be answered. Chris
  14. A small drawing of how the bomb doors looked when open. Chris
  15. I've done a bit more searching and have two images from this booklet: Chris
  16. Here's a larger version of this picture. It appears to have a small clear blister by the pitot and the one to the rear of the H2S. Chris
  17. For what little my opinion is worth, I choose Option 1. I have already started going back and replacing my PB images with Flickr copies. It's a long, slow process but I'm kind of OCD that way. I'm also retired and I do have the time. Chris
  18. Well, the inside area of the exhaust collector ring would be heat-stained steel, the same as the outside of the ring. It's really hard to find any clear images of the inside of the cowling area behind it. The few I could see a bit of could be interior green but could also have been glossy black or shiny metallic. Chris
  19. By all means! It's your model to build anyway you wish. The majority of the people who will see your build will never know the difference. Most won't know a Beaufort from a beagle. Chris
  20. Perhaps your photo shows a Mk.II fitted with Pratt & Whitney R-1830 imported American engines. These would have had grey gear casings. Chris
  21. Very nice. As a note, the prop hubs shouldn't be silver. They should be painted the same black as the prop blades. Chris
  22. If Peter is happy with it, then congrats on a great build. Personally, there are a couple of niggles that would bother me. 1. The engine gear casings should be painted a semi-gloss black, not grey. 2. The bright copper colour of the exhaust collectors. They should be a heat-stained steel colour. Everything else looks great, especially as it's all been handpainted. Chris
  23. I've just downloaded the Flickr app onto my IPad and tried to post an image onto BM, using said IPad. No joy! anyone here got any how-to hints? I need this in case I'm stuck somewhere with just my IPad, like I was last year during the evac. Chris
