The props of a few SeaGladiators was changed from a fixed-pitch 3 blade Fairey-Reid to variable-pitch de Havilland prop, modified with shortened blades. No changes were made to the cowling. Chris

I've never heard nor read about any variations to the Gladiator cowling. It was basically the same all through production. Chris

Well, what do you know! There's one on this Valetta. This is the only photo I could find showing it. But my original question remains. What was it for? Chris

In three days, it will be 9 years since I left work, after 35 years at the plant. Best career move ever! Chris

Where is this gallery? How can I see the pictures? Chris -
I used some old clear sprue on my Airfix Hurricane. I drilled small holes and put a drop of Tamiya Clear Red and Green in the hole. Superglued those to the cut-out wingtips, then carefully filled and polished to shape. A coat of Future restored the clarity. Chris

Possibly, but why only on Pegasus fitted to Mk. I Wellys and why were they removed/not fitted sometimes? Without: Chris

My room is about the size if a single bed bedroom. It's in the back corner of the basement, between the laundry room and the furnace room. It will be there until I croak. Chris

On Vickers Wellington Mk. I's, there is a holed fairing in front of the engine cylinders. I have only ever seen this fairing on Wellingtons. Other aircraft using Pegasus engines didn't have this fairing. Some later Pegasus-powered Wellingtons, mostly Coastal Command aircraft and those used in the MTO didn't have it fitted. Does anyone have any information about this fairing? Chris

While looking through the Belgian Wings website, again, ( https://www.belgian-wings.be/nieuwe-paginamilitary-aircraft-1909 ), I noticed that the Fairey Battles and Hawker Hurricanes have 6 individual exhaust pipes. If you look at the shadows of the pipes below the exhausts, you will see what I mean. All the Battles have this, but only a few of the Hurricanes. https://www.belgian-wings.be/fairey-battle-i https://www.belgian-wings.be/hawker-hurricane-i Does anyone have any information on this modification? I've never read anything that mentioned it. Chris

I use nail polish remover that contains acetone. It works quite well at removing CA and unsticking your fingers. Make sure it contains acetone! Chris

I'm not sure what you mean by " that part in red ". I can't see any red and on my PC, when using Flickr, there is no red. Chris

It was a strip of fabric and primer to help seal the wing root fairings. It was discovered that firing the 20mm cannons could loosen the fasteners, so a strip of fabric was sealed over the fasteners to help secure them in place. Chris
