  1. I still ahven't decided whether to build a bf109 or a bf110, but I'll definitely build one of them.
  2. I'm definitely in with a Gladiator on this one.
  3. denstore is correct, the Ultra has a different cup to the Evolution. It doesn't screw in so is easier to dislodge. On the plus side it doesn't have an o-ring in that area either so maintenance is a little easier/cheaper. It also has a one-piece nozzle cap, again with no o-ring. So you can't use it without the needle guard at the end.
  4. That looks nice. I was thinking of buying the Hasegawa Stuka but I'll wait to see if this is any good before making a purchase now.
  5. That looks great. What is "FastFrames" out of interest?
  6. Very nice. My first ever flight on an airliner was on a JAT 727, my only memories of which are eating several packets of peanuts and leaving the plane via the steps in the rear and looking up at the engines and tail in awe.
  7. Dry transfers don't need a gloss finish as far as I know.
  8. Hobbydecal make a set of dry-transfers for a 1/32 Spitfire. They're not that cheap but they rub-on so no silvering! http://www.hobbydecal.com/detail.cgi?number=st32005v1
  9. How does this compare to the Hasegawa kit for accuracy and detail?
  10. That was my first thought too. It's gone from a nosewheel failure to likely needing two new engines.
  11. Excellent. Is the Quickboost engine worthwhile?
  12. I've never had any problems taking my diving knife in my hold luggage and it's big beastie so I should imagine tools would be okay.
  13. Thats the stuff. You can get it from ModelDesignConstruction and Netmerchants in the UK or Luckymodel from overseas. I've used all three and have had great service from all.
  14. I like Gunze and Tamiya equally for airbrushing. Tamiya matt colours have great coverage and dry almost instantly. Their range of colours lets them down for WWII aircraft camouflage but that's where Gunze excels, expecially in the Luftwaffe department. They are glossy though so take a bit longer to dry. On the plus side it means you don't have to use as much Klear before decalling. For brush painting I like Vallejo and Citadel. They mix well with water and provide a great finish.
  15. I'd echo that. It could just be the camera angle but the two vertical bits at the rear look straighter.
  16. Instructions for the Tamiya kit can be found here: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10029325
  17. Nice one Shaun. Why no panel line wash out of interest?
  18. That's really nice. Especially so for 1/72.
  19. Yes please. I've got a P-51 I want to build as a UK based aircraft.
  20. We have a winner! Congratulations to galgos and his lovely Messerschmitt Bf110G-4. In joint second place we have Mish with her Beaufighter and dambuster with his Ar234B-2/N. Well done everyone.
  21. I would suggest signing up to Promodeller for a few months and watching the airbrushing tutorials or buy the "Basic Airbrushing" DVD. Or for an interesting alternative try the Mig Productions DVD. I really like this one.
