  1. I'll bring em on Thursday weather permiting.
  2. MDC do an ASH Radar pod and mounting suitable for the RN Avenger. It is part of a larger set but if you ring Bob Brown he is normally very approachable and might just let you have these pieces.
  3. Gekko Graphics did a whole timeline about the RNZAFs Rafales which was renamed the Kakapo( which is an agressive parrot native to NZ), not sure if they did any decals but I can do it from spares. See you next Thursday
  4. Well, I've got three single seaters and three family sized models, I'll get some of them photographed as soon as the weather improves.
  5. Brilliant, thanks very much. It looks like Gunze H307 is perfect. Thats onto my shopping list for Bolton or Huddesfield.
  6. One of Classic Airframes finest, it took nearly four years from begining to end but I mastered it. Finished as a machine of 2 Bomber OCU in 1943-44 based at Ohakea Aplogises for the poor photo I was still getting used to the camera.
  7. Like many others I have bought the Rafale B from Modelzone because it was a good price, but the Revell colour guide is less than helpful, so what main colour should it be and whats the best acrylic match? Thanks for looking.
  8. This is my FREMS MB339A converted to a C model using the Ailitane conversion set and Hawkeye decals. The photos are a bit over exposed, must be the South Yorkshire sun!
  9. Here are my Accurate Miniatures SDBs all finished in the colours of 25 Squadron RNZAF. I've built them over a number of years with the -3 being the oldest and the -4 the latest. The -3 and the -5 used either spares box decals or the fabulous Aeromaster RNZAF sheet, the -4 used the markings in the box. This is the -3 as handed over to the Kiwis by the US Marines MAG 14, note the NZ serial. This is the -4 which was only used during work up in the Solomons and never visited New Zealand The is the -5 which was used operationally against Rabul. Hope you like them
  10. Brilliant work Pete, I hope the photos were of use. Of course you've still got to finish it................
  11. I don't know how you did it so well so quickly! Good luck with your exams.
  12. love the staining to the rear fuselage, not easy to carry off but you did it.
  13. Don't be so quick to discount the Airfix kit. I know I did but after running out of Hasegawas I needed and extra one for the recent IPMS(UK) Battle of Britain display for Telford 2010. I don't think the work was any harder that having the extra filling that the multiple version mouldings that Hasegawa has cause. It also comes with both the DH and the Rotol propellors and the standard Hasegawa only has the Rotol. I bought an Airfix kit and with a little help from a vac-formed canopy and Ultracast interior, wheels and exhaust I defy anyone to tell which is which( I used Ultracast exhausts and wheel bays on most of my Hasegawas anyway). I know the Ultracast stuff adds to the cost but as the Hasegawa is OOP it is a viable alternative and still cheaper.
  14. Nice work Mumbles. Always good to see your work.
  15. Loving all your work mate, excellent progress.
  16. Two beautiful models, the Spit is especially fabulous. I used the same figures for a Spitfire and put the parachute on his seat waiting for him to get strapped in, as it was quite common practice.
  17. Glad to see you are alive and well and making lovely models. Take care mate.
  18. Very nice work, also nice to see a K representing the early fighting in the Solomons.
  19. I saw the test shots were at Telford, but both Roger and Martin have been quite ill this year. As to the status I don't know as they have no website. Sometimes Roger comes to my local IPMS group so I'll as him what the position is next time I see him.
  20. great start, following this one. I have driven VWs all my motoring life, 3 Beetles (64,70 and 74) being the high lights plus my 1984 Scirrocco, bright red and gorgeous. My daughter wants me to by a van as a 'fun' car, Lord knows where she thinks the money will come from but maybe a Revell Bus will suffice. We are talking about hiring the real thing for a short holiday; there's a firm on the IOW who do them and we could drop AWMBO and the youngest off and then the wide open roads of the IOW beckon!!!!
  21. AFAIK the crowbar is a very latewar/post war addition. Not on Mk1s at all. I wait to be proved wrong.
  22. Have you looked at Ultracast? Good products and fast service. Relish carries some of the bits in the UK but if not mail from Canada is quick.
  23. I've been holding off this one until I saw a review or a build. Looks good so far so it goes on the list. Great work I'll pull up a chair on this one.
