dad was a tool maker at Yeadon for Avro in the war. He started out on Ansons and then moved to Lancasters and latterly Yorks before leaving. I grew up near LBA or Yeadon as I still call it and spend a lot of my youth watching lanes from the hill behind the light aircraft hanger. Nt useful information I know but I will be following this one as I have slightly personal interest in it and anyone tackling a Mach 2 kit needs support!

My latest project is to build an army of 1812 to fight my mates Russians. I didn't fancy doing French again and whilst my 1815 army, especially the heavy cavalry, is fine I wanted something more colourful and unusual so I settled on the 26th Division of the 9th Corps. It has lots of German allies and not even the odd Frenchman here are the first draft. basically a box of the new Perry french 1807 -1812 figures with a few metal command ansome metal artillery. By adding a few metal command figures I get two line battalions and a skirmishing unit from a single box. !st Battalion, !st Berg Line. Berg Artillery

Great progress and it looks top quality. I found these saved what little sanity I have left. https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/QB48163?result-token=exwe4 I have a stalled build of the Dragon 110 on the Shelf of Doom at the moment, you are making me look at it again. -
Another 'must have'..

Very impressive, it looks like a muddy dusty machine that has seen plenty of action.

Lovely work so far- looks like a Renault FT-17 on steroids.

Eduard 1/48 Messerschmitt Bf 110C

Ah yes those hundreds of tiny parts you will never see once the fuselage is together, I remember them well. I bought some Quickboost exhausts which were easier to add than the kit parts and really looked good, other than that the kit supplied everything. I've got a Dragon 110D staring at me from the shelf of doom, now that's a kit that doesn't want to fit together! -
Looking very smart, I'd go with the brown wash as well.

That's really great work with excellent rigging

Quite right, I too have contacted Mathew on a number of occasions and found him very helpful and quick. -

She looks the business. The paintwork looks spot on. I built two (nowhere near your standard, the second was so I could throw the first in the bin) and neither sat on all three. I got my CA Vampire to sit properly with lots of weight and over filed flats in the main wheel tyres. -

Brilliant I'll sleep well tonight. Seriously this is a great resource. -
Just masked it with Tamiya tape and sprayed it. The Hasegawa Mk I seems to have vanished from the shops, and the Airfix Battle of Britain boxing is du for re release later this year.. All the bits to do any Mk I are in the Sea Hurricane or Desert boxing of the Airfix kit though.
-
This is the last of my Hasegawa Hurricanes from my stash It is finished as P3585, one of the third production batch and issued to 213 Squadron. On August 11th 1940 whilst being flown by Sgt E.G. Snowden, she was involved in combat with the Luftwaffe and after claiming a Bf 110, P3585 was hit and landed on Lulworth Tank Ranges. She was later repaired and issued to 303 Squadron. Snowden survived the war only to crash a civilian Anson after hitting the Chain Home towers at Ventnor 1947. The kit is straight from the box with the exception of the Propellor which came from my spares and some seat belt. I kept weathering to a minimum as the machine was only recently delivered so just some wear and tear by the ammunition panels and the wing root and some exhaust stains. The decals were a mix of kit and Xtradecals, I think the M is too wide but I can live with it. Thank you for looking.

I've been scrolling through these images and they are a great slice of life in the RNZAF from inception to fairly recently. Lots of people and planes and if you really want it shots of the Toyotas and Allegro used by the RNZAF. -
Marlow was correct when I served on the IPMS(UK) Committee with him.

Thank you for sharing these photos. I was in Singapore in April last year and was frustrated by the sound of fast jets above the constant low cloud. I did see some Blackhawks and a Sea King/Commando though.

1/48 - DH.82a Tiger Moth by Airfix - released - new boxing in 2023
Silver Fox replied to Homebee's topic in The Rumourmonger
The rumour is that John Adams had a hand in the re-design of this kit once the initial renders were available, hence the delay. If so then I don't think there will be shape issues. Lets see the plastic before diving in- 177 replies

F3H-2 Demon "Tomcatters" - Hobby Boss 1/48th scale FAIL!
Silver Fox replied to Ale85's topic in In The Navy GB
I've never seen one built, so I'll watch this with interest as it is on my to buy radar. -
Lovely work, when I built mine a few years ago The halves of the fuel tank didn't fit that well. Did you have the same issue or was it just me. If you fancy another vehicle the Airfix Bedford MWD is a marvellous kit, nice detail, great fit and lots of options.

Hope you enjoy the E, it is a great kit. As far as I can tell we never had an issue of that one on this side of the the Atlantic. I got both mine on trips to the States when I had to go with work. There are some aftermarket decals for the E but most are long out of print. The other machine on the Eagle Strike sheet I used for this model was for an E but I used it on the second of the kits I bought.
