Hi, I present to you my latest model that I have built for your evaluation. This is my first experience with the 1/144 scale and I have to admit that the construction was very interesting. I added some details to the completely empty cockpit kit, cut open the cockpit cover and replaced the rifles with brass tubes. Painting is different than in the manual and is based on documentation from the web. Nice watch.

The front of the fuselage is folded. Sanding was necessary for it to fold properly. A bit of nerve and doubt gave way to joy after gluing the halves together. I secured the glued fuselage against damage and started to add details of fixing the cockpit cover. Here is the result.

It always starts the same. When I start working on the next model, I want to make it straight from the box, maybe I'll think about some small corrections. But once I start looking at the documentation, I can't keep myself up and go deeper and deeper. To build a model without modification, I have to fight with myself and not look at the documentation and preferably be cut off from the Internet.

Because everyone wrote what a great model it is. I bought it to make it straight from the box without any scratches. As usual, it turned out differently.

After a short break, work on the model moved a bit forward. Finished all inspection bay doors. I ran forward a little and tried to start the engine from the air intake side. The element from the GWH box is too small and, additionally, it is mounted too close to the beginning of the air intake. After several unsuccessful attempts, I was able to do something like this. I was pleased with the result so I made a copy to mount on the other side.

Hello I almost finished the pilot's cabin. I added some dirt and dust to make it look better. I painted the weapon bays and the Vulcan cannon. Then I put everything together. Installation was very stressful and difficult due to the small amount of space in the bays.

Thank you all. A small thing, but it makes me happy. I adjusted the sun visor and made a new holder that is mounted on it. An electronics box is attached to the handle. GWH made this part very simplified so I built it from scratch.

After many attempts, I was able to make the instrument panel. Looking for the best way to make this element, I made a few prototypes. Most of them turned out to be unsuccessful. Only the use of adhesive tape turned out to be a bull's eye. Below are some photos of the board and the stages of its construction.

Thanks Zorglub Yes. I can't work without good photo documentation. I only build elements and bays for which I have good photos. If I want to do something but I don't have documentation or there are many doubts, I try not to do it. I always try to recreate reality on a smaller scale. I count cables, pipes, buttons, etc. The primary source for me is Daco Publication and photos from a friend, he is crazy about the F-14 and has thousands of photos.

Time for the crew cabin, I start in the back. The instrument panels in the model are perfectly made, only a little bit of cables, air conditioning pipes and other elements are missing. Some elements seemed too massive to me, so I made new ones. While making a cabin, I had to work on the frame of the cabin cover at the same time. This is the result of the work so far. Unfortunately, the instrument panel is 2 mm too narrow. I'll have to do it myself along with the sun cover. I will use some elements of the instrument panel. Before cutting. After cutting.

Thanks I use two types of wire. The first is lead wire from the fishing store, diameter starts from 0.2mm. The second type comes from electronic scrap, these are copper wires. The thinnest (0.05 mm) can be found in the cables of cheap headphones. I use Tamiya Extra Thin Cement Quick Setting and cheap cyanoacrylate glue. If you want you can visit this place. Thanks a lot guys. I have assembled the upper part of the landing gear. I drilled a hole in the lamp and added new glazing. I added the necessary cables to the landing gear. I opened another bay in front of the fuselage. Then I made all the elements that are there. After painting, it's time to assemble.
