  1. They've put some teasers out on Facebook (can't work out a way to get the images across, sorry). Lots of the comments seem to be going with a Nelson class ship - would be good (beat Trumpeter to it - serves them right for leaving in the catalogue so long šŸ˜„) https://www.facebook.com/share/p/vLJNorYCNgAybAXW/
  2. I get this for an oft-kitted aircraft, but a new tool, to ICM standards - yes please! The Hasegawa kit, they've not re-popped themselves for a while, and in any case is incredibly expensive, at least in the UK. OK the H2K ones are good value, and have got one of each of their boxings (2-3 years back?)
  3. Saw a comment on Facebook, re extra detail in the tail will add weight, when the Marauder kits are already a renowned tail-sitters - do our experts here concur? Might be tempted to leave it out if so, depends on what space is available in the nose to counter-balance?
  4. Think it's been in the listing for a couple of years already!
  5. 28mm/1:56 is a Wargaming Scale. I think this range started as a collaboration with Warlord Games - I'm assuming that they still are (or it went well so they're doing their own kits?)
  6. MiniArt are doing some brilliant subjects. Can't see I'll ever need some of them but definitely new subjects!
  7. Thats kind of the point - in answer to my own question - Hannants listing the new boxing for Ā£20, and the Airfix one for Ā£24. If modellers who research what they're buying have a choice, you'd go Airfix every day. If the IT one was Ā£12-15, it might be more competitive? https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/IT0074
  8. Nice images wonder how keenly the Hornisse will be priced, given the recent Airfix release?
  9. I'd be interested to know how well the Airfix Vintage collection goes. It always seems to get a positive rep here (albeit with some complaints on the cost of some things - 1/24 Stuka has been bashed in a number of places for this) If Revell marketed it right, surely it would do well - better than moulds sat in storage? Obviously there's material costs, presumably re-doing decals and perhaps instructions, but surely nothing compared to a new tooling?
  10. Good post - though I suspect Amazon will be killing off a good few model stores, even the online ones, as the use of Prime is just so easy. In one of my LMS in Coventry, they got an enquiry for a kit (think it was the Revell Blackjack) from a guy living on the outskirts of the city - asking if they could compete with the price on Amazon - with their overheads, theyd have been selling it at practically trade price. Also the easy convenience of Prime meant the person didn't have to leave home or pay for parking, so not a difficult choice!
  11. Wonder if this will finally he the year of the Nelson/Rodney? Hate to use the "license to print money" phrase, but...
  12. Yes, I checked the parts count on the Airfix website the other day (see earlier post). I don't know why the Tiger would have 100 parts more. My suspicion is that the Tiger should be 54 parts, not 154. I can't imagine that individual track links would help with the "Quick" build aspect šŸ¤£ Can imagine tediously linking together 100s of those would put a kid off for life. Perhaps it's a pre-assembled plastic track? That just clips together at one end?
  13. FYI, the second batch of the various halftracks has been delivered to the UK - apparently oversold with the UK Importer, so most retailers only got around 2/3s of what they ordered. I'm told that there won't be any more, so if you want one, act fast.
  14. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0aFW1JwYe45v66N3tmJjLricEC3sQ66DifksUcoX2xBTvFCVr6EebC1JjsDV8p82kl&id=100064036389865 Decals all printed up, so can't be far off!
  15. Oddly the Sherman only has 43 parts, so wonder if the Tiger is labelled wrongly (maybe 54 parts?)
  16. I'd say that the "C" is likely, given how quickly they issued the "B" after the "A". Buy with Tamiya you just never know!
  17. From what I've heard, the F-35 from last year has sold really well, so good choice! Can imagine a Blackjack boxing would do really well, albeit the decal scheme would be a bit trickier for a beginning. Have seen (on Facebook) quite a few non-model makers have acquired the Revell 48th one, a cheaper price point one from Airfix might do even better?
  18. Assuming the F-15 is their old one rebadged. Don't think they've issued the Stuka as a G-1 variant, but from what I understand, it would just be the same as the G-2 with a bit of wing surgery needed?
  19. Don't recall hearing about these - few reissues, including some D-Day 80th Anniversary ones, to be expected. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid0j4bvXinbJgxiegCg47q4n4MHaud41KwbAs5oapsWMqDYmHEsQz61f3wxVeVrrUdzl&id=100063450176396 Italeri have announced some of their planned New Releases for early 2024: Early February T2830 Junkers Ju-87 G-1 Stuka - Scale 1:48 - Ā£TBC T3965 Scania S770 V8 - Scale 1:24 - Ā£TBC T6364 - M-8 Greyhound - Scale 1:35 - Ā£TBC TW25772 - M4A3E8 Sherman ā€œFuryā€ - Scale 1:56/28mm - Ā£TBC Early March T1475 - F-15E Strike Eagle - Scale 1:72 - Ā£TBC T4715 - Fiat 500 Upgraded Edition - Scale 1:12 - Ā£TBC T6271 - GMC 2 1/2 Ton. 20. Looks like a highway for a US road-trip in a Mustang? šŸ¤
  21. Must be an error (on the delivery)! It's not even due for release till March according to ICM, and it's not been featured in their "Soon on Sale"!! Hopefully you'll get it for that price (and that Jadlam don't sell it at a loss)
