  1. Apparently it's mainly down to the additional duties applied for goods originating in Russia..
  2. This one is a 'new tool' so maybe wait to see the plastic. Keep meaning to set up a F-35 bingo game 😅
  3. Due May/June - £39.99 UK RRP, so same as the Tamiya "A" variant.. https://www.models2u.co.uk/contents/en-uk/p18081_F-35-C-Lightning-II.html
  4. Seems like the UK RRP for this is around £80, so probably a bit more than I'd be willing to spend 😬 hopefully can pick one up for a bit less after the initial release.
  5. Apparently KP have purchased the moulds for this - hopefully above board this time and not like the Turbolet! https://www.modelarovo.cz/l-29-delfin-1-72-kovozavody-prostejov/?fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2_R3MzUodOJZCamsQCkpIRXEaP0zGXf-OJKNFEHFDEHRQ9mMWgTQa8sp8_aem_AdNmOxZLh6wrTY8YWO7DLl6A8KO9n7XuG8byniUN--5JFICeo8yvRnsTlzyWUVWmmFulskLzalYac2tsH-6ivTEU
  6. Nice.. I heard the other day that Ebbro went out of business, so a new company certainly welcome, if they follow up with more..
  7. As I understand it, the Italeri 1:32 Folgore has done pretty nicely, perhaps Eduard get the data from the sales of their various accessory kits for that and think that success can translate to 1:48 with their own kits if Italian types?
  8. Interesting, this is just a straight re-issue, with the same decal options - not an "A" version as they regularly seem to be doing. Looking back through this thread, the previous version was produced in India (some criticism of the plastic) - could this one be produced in the UK (so the "better" plastic from more recent kits used)?
  9. Wonder if this will be the year of 35031 Scammell Tank Transporter!
  10. I've been using these guys for about 15 years - recommended. Picked up a bottle of KK last week, but they only had a couple left at that point, and as you say, Hannants out of stock. They did have decent stock Set/Sol if anyone's after them. Edit - They did suggest a Revell product, "Contacta Clear" as an alternative, but haven't tried myself to know whether to recommend
  11. It may be worth waiting for the plastic before writing off completely. Just because it's indicated in the box art isn't a guarantee of things being wrong in the plastic!
  12. Alternatively, Heller have got wind of a new tooling and are reissuing because Airfix (or ANOther) are producing one? I think Glow2Be (who own/operate Heller now) distribute Airfix in Germany? So presumably there is some amicable relationship there?
  13. I'd be interested in the economic side of the big ship market. I'd imagine they don't sell as much in terms of unit quantities, but the value per item is a lot higher. I buy a couple of the larger ones, generally Trumpeter, a year, and at current prices, that's more than my total outlay on aircraft for example.
  14. Can of worms! Did we ever see renders for the Enterprise or Pennsylvania? I don't recall, but hopefully as we have them for the Nelson, things may be a bit more advanced!
  15. I'm intrigued by this, in relation to Arma "But seeing what they're doing with it, I think I'll put it back on the schedule." Wonder if he means: A) it has been profitable and they want a slice of the pie? they think they can do a better job?
  16. I suspect it's an error, as it doesn't fit into their numbering system in a logical place (latest ones are 12585,585,586) The 127XX series is a bit odd though - 1/35+48 Helicopters, 1/100 fighters and 1/288 space kits!
  17. Apparently £32.49 RRP in the UK, which is roughly the same ballpark as the Italeri kits. though if you wanted German decals, you'd need to allow for that (likewise US, RAF etc if you bought the Revell kit) https://www.models2u.co.uk/contents/en-uk/p19251_F-35-A-Lightning-II.html Will look forward to the "bingo" when test shots come put re: RAM panels, weapons bay etc that seem to always be the complaints 😆
  18. Not sure about that. Maybe for some "regular" subjects, but the Ki-21 Sally is an odd choice, perhaps a bit specialist, and in the UK £3+ more expensive than the original ICM boxing. If it was the Hobby 2000 model of buying in sprues from Japan/Korea and selling for cheaper than the originals, I'd be more onboard with it, but IMO it's just an odd strategy.

  20. Could see the bike being last years Ducati winner. Few ideas for the military vehicles. Apparently the 1/48 Ambulance sold well, maybe that in 1:35? I'd be happy with further Matilda/Valentine kits. They "recently" did the Humber Mk. IV in 1/48 - not many of the kits appear in 1/48 and not 1/35, so that's a (fairly unlikely IMO) possibility.
  21. From Mokei Kagaku on Facebook https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid022BLKY5xa1etq3jUDBrYH4dDYpTmUTaY7Gqtdmcq411QMahLwXycLAGjEdb2QADoRl&id=100057730537170 A couple of hints! The annual Nuremberg Toy Fair starts next week and it will be exciting to see what surprises Tamiya has in store for us. Very little information is available at the moment, of course not considering items that have been announced here already. Just enough to slightly pique curiosity: Static Model Kits: 14142 1/12 Motorcycle 35384 1/35 Military Vehicle / Figures 35386 1/35 Military Vehicle / Figures
  22. Sadly just don't have space for these behemoths 😄 always toyed with the idea of building a bomb loading diorama for either this or the Lanc' - would love to be able to just buy that part.
  23. Completely lost track of time, realised this starts tomorrow.. I think we've heard from most of the main players who do a release programme already - bar any additional surprises/extras. Tamiya? IBG? Academy?
  24. The original Academy F/J kits are £23.99/£24.99 at Hannants, H2K seem to be all about value and their other Academy boxings are around the same price, so wouldn't expect North of £30, probably even less than that!
