  1. Wow that's a lot if replies Thanks for the advice all! 👍 I tried white spirit and whatever carpet cleaners were under the sink and managed to reduce it to a black blur... I tried suggesting we needed a new carpet soon anyway so it didn't matter... Suprisingly it worked!! 😁 that said I think the surprise takeaway helped . (if I fail as a modeler there's a future in conflict resolution!) only problem now is I have to appear Interested in carpets and how the colour matches the sofa and all that... 😴
  2. I have a small problem which the other half might kill me for. 😟 I was working on a model and knocked pretty much all of a pot of humbrol black enamel paint on the cream living room carpet, resulting in a 3 inch stain... I got the most if it up with WD40 and some stain remover but she's still going to notice. 🙈 Anyone got any good tricks?? Pretty please! 🙄
  3. Thanks for all the welcomes!! LostCosmonauts, the main reason for a lack of photos is due to me not knowing how to do it... anyway I've worked it out now after a trip to the FAQ's (unless you can't see any photos then it's back to square one). Now I will be honest and say they're nothing to the standard to what I've seen browsing the forums, but I'm picking up tips on here, and working it all out eventually. That and I don't have a spray gun so everything is brush painted, but Christmas isn't too far away so fingers crossed . I'd also like to note I'm certainly no photographer so sorry for the poor quality images (hides the rough edges mind). I haven't got photos of all my models but here are a few; Airfix 1/72 Male Tank. I was quite chuffed with how the paint came out on this one, it surprised me! Airfix 1/72 Handley-Page 0/400. My first try at stringing (not sure if that's the right term) and not bad I thought, though I got the Dihedral all wrong. Airfix 1/72 RNLI Severn Class. I couldn't resist this one. Airfix 1/72 (noticing a trend??) Avro Vulcan. Big is beautiful right! I didn't have any filler at the time though so please ignore the massive panel gaps! So that's a few of the builds I've done, nothing special but keeps me out of trouble
  4. That looks like what I'm after, just need someone now who sells/prints them! Revell sent me a copy of the instructions so that should be OK.
  5. Hi all, I recently picked up a lovely looking Revell model of the DGzRS Hermann Marwede 1/72. When I opened the box I saw the decal sheet and the instruction sheet were missing :(. Revell couldn't help me because the model is discontinued (though they did email me a copy if the instructions). Looking around I can't find any for sale so I was wondering if anyone on this forum knew of a shop that would be able to sell me a copy of the decals? The alternative it seems would be to ask someone to custom print some but I can see that being expensive. Cheers all, Olli.
  6. I'm new to the forum so time to introduce myself. Currently living in Cardiff but come from the little island of Portland. I pretty much model what takes my fancy but tend to go for things that are different, interesting or mean something to me (albiet tenuously). Been modelling for a few years now. Currently working on a Wetland Lynx AH7 which is going fairly well so far.
