  5. Hi Cookenbacher. Thanks for the complement. Yes I did airbrush it by free hand, so much easyer or it is for me.
  6. My Spitfire BS147 is ready for your inpection. A little on why I did this Spitfire. My last build of a Spitfire was my Orange Spitfire PH-NFP and while building and reading a bit about PH-NFP. I thought about what it Did in the war, I found out that it was part of the RAF 222 Sq and found this out about her. July 15, 1943 16:55 Fw 190A-4 5./JG26 sure near Le Crotey Spitfire F.Mk.IXC (BS147, ZD ? K) 222. Sq. So here is my effort of BS147.
  7. Managed to finish this Spitfire, so will put it in the Ready for Inspection.
  8. With all the trouble you had with the kit you have made a good looking aircraft.
  9. Looking well made and a nice aircraft. I enjoyed the read about China's modern air arm most interesting.
  10. A bit of airbrush painting done, I think its coming along quit nicely .
  11. Hi John, The way I did it was to build the wings together first, let them set. Then I glued joined the fuselage and nose pieces all together held them in place with tape. I then placed the fuselage onto the wings but did not glue the fuselage to the wings just taped it in place and left it to set. So all 5 parts glued together and taped So cockpit set on fuselage let to set. Then I joint part numbers 9a 10a fusalage, nose 11a 11b and 34b altogether and glued and taped. Put on wings put not glued onto the wings I do not know if this is the right or best way but it work for me.. Hope this explaines the way I built the Spitfire. Les
  12. I was more interested in other things in the 60's ( Beer, females, and going out. ) So for me an interesting build to compare to todays kits.and to see how well it Survived decals and all.
  13. I'm watching and learning and getting more tips from the master.( If I remember them all is another thing )
  14. Will be watching this along with the others, will be interesting.
  15. Quit an easy build out of the box.Not much detail in the cockpit,so all I made was the harness straps and the raidio behind the seat. The only bit that I had a bit off trouble with was that the air intake, so had to fill in with a bit of putty.. Sorry I did not take many pictures. I have put a few below of the ones I have taken. Good luck with your build, they do fit together quit easy.
  16. I thought I would do this Spitfire because BS147 went on to become the orange Spitfire Mk1Xc Schreiner Airways Texel that I made before. This time I will use a Italeri Spitfire Mk IX, A lot easyer build ( getting lazy ).
  17. Looks well made and nicely painted. You have made a really good job.
  18. A nice blue Spitfire, I like how you have done the paint. Thanks for the oil rendering tutorial
  19. I know the Revell Mustang is not the best of kits . So its stright out of the box or more or less. I have tryed to make it like the one on the photo below. A fun quick build . This is my effort.
