He was the best Pathfinder in BAOR. He could find any Regt/Sqn no matter where they were on the training area. I remember he had the uncanny ability to rock up at any harbour area, no matter how tactical and hush hush you were being, and get his cooker going. "War" / Exercise would stop and everybody would queue up for currywurst mit pommes und mayo and a can of Coke. Always lifted spirits on a cold evening. Much better than compo.

Excellent work on the dio. If that's your first crack at modelling after 35 years I may as well give up. Dave

Hi chaps ( and chapesses), I will be starting a dio in 1:35 in the near future depicting three German POW's under escort, two of which carrying a casualty. I will be using the Masterbox kit and would like to do a bit more than merely using flesh colour paint on the faces. Anybody got any good and simple tips or hints for painting a decent face? I did, but I have seen some who looked like court jesters after using too much spray starch to get sharp creases. I always used wonder web on the inside for really sharp creases and they were really quick and easy to do.

Very nice, Mick, but for added realism the figure should have had "two-tone" lightweights from where the outside is lighter from being pressed to death repeatedly. Seriously though, very nicely done.

Is the rubberised horsehair the same as, or similar to, the stuff that is used in hanging basket liners?

Very nice dio's, Bish. What did you use for the foliage on the trees in the Jagdpanther dio? I'm struggling to find some realistic looking stuff for a dio I'm trying to finish.
