  1. Another trap is a small navigator canopy in front of the pilot's windscreen. It is very hard to fit it in properly.
  2. Hi here, Nice to have 3D printer, excellent job, I will be watching this build
  3. Wow, nice project. You can try adapted quick boost engines. Buying B 25 is also good, but the quality of QB is much better.
  4. Nice build Heather Kay, I love float planes. Can you tell me what kind of reference material you have been using?
  5. Hello, my comrades in plastic madness. Finally, we have the Matchbox GB. I had been waiting for that for a long time, and the last one was three years ago. Now I can go crazy and build one of these beautiful classic kits. I love flying boats and floats planes. Therefore it must be one of many issued by Matchbox. The choice is hard, and my dilemma was to choose between Stranraer and Dornier Do 18. Maybe I will do both if will be enough time. Nevertheless, the winner is Supermarine Stranraer. The classic lovely flying boat. I don't know if I should build it with an extensive interior or add some extras only on the exterior. I will be building the 240 squadron version from Jan. 1941. It is one of two inbox paint schemes. Bellow some pictures of her from different periods and locations. Isn't she beautiful?
  6. Congratulations, very nicely done. It wasn't an easy kit, but now it looks great.
  7. No ida Ray I cannot see it on the blue print, check it out your self.
  8. Ray, Inside the cockpit, stringers, struts, bulkheads were painted the same color, silver or blue.
  9. Ray Most interiors have been silver-painted, but in some cases, PZL used the blue for the Bulgarian market. According to my research, the closer on to this is Tamyia XF 18. It is a mess due to the lack of records from the pre-war period. But either way will be acceptable. It might help
  10. I'm happy that you had chosen this kit, and you did very nice work so far. I know that Mirage isn't the easiest kit, and it has some issues. I know I did one. Regarding your concern about the paint that PZL has used, I can tell you it is a touchy subject amongst polish model builders. But PZL indeed used the same color for domestic and import planes. Therefore, it "Polish Khaki light." The best one is producing and, to be considered most accurate, is made by Hataka. It will be close to FS 30118
  11. Thanks for your feedback. I'm pleased that you like my P 40.
  12. Hello, everyone. Finally, after a long time, I was able to finish this project. Maybe a few of you remember my post of this kit on the MTO group build. But I never had a chance to complete it on time. Nevertheless, finally, it is done. I used as base the Hasegawa kit. 1/48 scale P40E, and added resin nouse from AMT and PE set from Eduard. The most challenging was to combine resin nouse with the kit. I spend countless hours applying super glue and sending it after. This fighter is from USAF of 79th FG Tunisia 1943. I used Mr. Hobby paints, wash, and weathering was done by oil paints.
  13. The kit is old, needs some work. I will invest in tracks. Standard ones are not too good.
  14. It was sitting on my shelf for quite a while and whispering to me, saying, "Finish me, finish me, please." I'm hoping that this time it will happen. Please cheer me up in this task. I want to build a Merlin version of P 40. Therefore I manage to get a resin aftermarket front fuselage for it. To make it more interesting also I will add open PE flaps. Nice decals from Kits world. It is challenging, but what we are living fore, eh. I managed to fit in a resin nouse of the plain. All panel lines were redone to match the rest of the fuselage. It went easier than I expected. I made rivets on the lower wings. The rest of the plane will have it soon after I am done with sanding and primer painting.
  15. Revell is going to release MK I in 1/48 scale soon. Hasegawa it is the right choice too. Differences between MK I and MK VI aren't that big.
  16. I don't mind all your comments at all. We are maniacs hire, and we know the historical background of the models we are making. I do a lot of research about the kit I'm about to build. But, sometimes I want to try new weathering techniques. Thanks for your comments.
  17. Thanks every one for comments, I promise, next model will be more to actual historical state. 🤪 She looks lovely when she is dirty.
  18. I exaggerate it a bit. I couldn't resist. Honestly, most fighters were much cleaner in that period. You are right to point it out.
