  1. New tool 1/72 Vulcan, with one piece intakes, 201/301 jetpipes and the option to make a B.1 1/72 Andover E.3/C.1, with red/white 115 sqn or desert brown camo decal options. 1/72 Canberra B.2/TT.18 1/72 Scimitar 1/48 Phantom FGR.2 1/48 Victor B.1/B.2/K.2 Surely everyone would be happy with those! Wouldn't you?
  2. Brilliant Vulcan, and the diorama set with Valiants!
  3. Absolutely superb! I wish I could go back in time to the 50s. Ideally with a digital camera!

Big recruiting drive needed then! From a lower population in the 70s we had enough to crew up several squadrons of Buccaneers, Jags, Lightnings, Vulcans and Phantoms, plus a RN carrier wing. And that was before women were accepted as frontline aircrew, so we should have more than twice the available manpower potentially today.
  5. Thanks - saved me £15 on ebay then, I won't get one!
  6. What is the Cyberhobby 1/72 Venom NF.3 like as a kit, worth buying or major surgery required to make it look like an RAF Venom?
  7. I hope it's 1/72 with options to build it as a B.1 with the big serials under the wings.
  8. XM575 flew with 617 as a Blue Steel carrier and had Olympus 301s.
  9. What's happening to the HHA Hunters?
  10. Sad that a proper squadron like 31 is reduced to using drones. Similarly 13 and 39 squadrons. Oh to have these units flying proper aircraft like Tornados and Canberras. Drones indeed. May as well give a squadron number to a deskful of computers.

Would be really rather spiffing if the Yanks gave those destined for Turkey to Her Majesty's Royal Air Force instead. Enough for 19, 23, 25, 56, 74 and 111 squadrons there.
  12. Would be nice to see Lightnings (albeit the watered down American edition) lined up on Wattisham's apron with red and white chequerboard tail fins ...
  13. Brilliant! What an outstanding collection of beautiful aircraft. Given the size of the RAF and Armee de l'Air at the time, plus the military might of Israel, I still find it incredible we didn't tell the Americans to mind their own business while we jointly vapourised the Egyptians. The combined might of the UK, France and Israel is a pretty formidable force, even today!
  14. A new tool Vulcan would be more than welcome, especially if it included an option to make a B.1, or a B.1A. Or at least with alternative jet pipes for Olympus 201s and 301s. And an HS748. Oh and an Andover E.3 please.
  15. I wish Airfix would bring out a B.1. Is the Airfix K.2 due out soon? Still need to build my B.2 first! Is it a good kit?
  16. I've been Googling for some time now and looking on ebay and amazon, but I can't find the right colour. Does anyone know what spray paint I could use for satin hemp please? I really don't want to have to use those post-application 'glossing' sprays, clear sprays, etc either as I've never done that before and wouldn't want to mess it up. Anyone know where one can buy satin hemp spray cans, or a close enough match that will look good enough on a Nimrod from 6 feet away. I'm no pro or rivet counter, but equally I don't want it to look orange/pink/brown. Thanks
  17. Brilliant painting and finish. Very nice Javelin.
  18. This isn't modelling, it's world class professional precision engineering. Your skills are Ronaldo to my Sunday league clogger. Hats off to you, and a standard most of us could never achieve. I don't know how you have the patience or skill.
  19. Superb. Not seen one of these made before. Kind of like a French Gannet.
  20. Looking stunning! I can't wait to start another Vulcan now. Brilliant paintwork.
  21. Oh wow, that's amazing! Puts my 1/72 one to shame! Beautiful model.
  22. Fantastic - it must have been a wonderful time to be there. It's so quiet there now even compared to the 90s. ☹️
