  1. Nice finish. Looks real πŸ‘
  2. Beaufighter Mk.21 finished images. I will do the Galley one when I have better light. It may be stormy today. I just noticed I haven't taken the mask off the wing light. Something for the Galley I suppose.
  3. I know the feeling. These wims can get you in trouble. Why would anyone want to do four Beaufighters. Oh yes. A wim......
  4. Good Job Adrian. I'm looking forward to seeing the completed model. What happened to the Empire? Is it sitting on a shelf like my Beaufort?
  5. Just letting you know the Australian Beaufighter is complete. This one is a factory fresh build. It is too dark for photos today. Ihope to get some tomorrow. The TF-X will be delayed. I had a mishap touching up the bad leading edge paint. Hope to get it sorted tomorrow. Now onto the IF nightfigher and the Mk.VI Malta.
  6. First rate building and particularly the painting. The photos are well done and presented.
  7. Here is an update. I still have tidying up to do and repaint the cowelling. It looked ok until I took a photo. I was going for a used look, bit this is just looking messy.
  8. I will put up more pictures when the Australian Beaufighter is done and I have fixed the leading edge paint work. I hadn't noticed how bad it was till I took the photo. The Australian Beaufighter has been panel lined now so is ready for the final flat coat.
  9. Really nice work Heather. It's turning out to be a real winner.
  10. Looking good Pete. It would look better with a spray of semigloss. However it might be just the lighting. I had the same problem with the top wing on my 1/48 Italeri kit. I just couldn't get it to settle on the center struts. I went through three kits and still didn't get a good result.
  11. Here is the last progress image of the TF-X . I won't put it into the galley until the Mk.21 is ready. The only difference will be the aerial being added.
  12. I take your name is Jack. Jack if you are going to use the torpedo be aware the holes for the rear bracket are shown in the wrong place in the instructions. They are further back. Test fit before drilling.
  13. Yes Cliff l have always liked the Polish markings. The nose is on it now. I've gone for a dirty aluminum look with it as you will see. I think it gives it more of a sale effect for a trainer.
  14. Good luck with this. Pity it doesn't have Polish markings. I'm doing a 1/48 one. I had trouble with the wing, but it's going well now.
  15. Here is the completed decals. The three is a bit small, but it was the best I could do. The white triangle should have a red T. I will see if I can fix that later. In the morning I will clear coat it ready for the weathering.
  16. Well done with that Granddad of a kit Pat.
  17. Excellent build. It’s always nice to see the Do 17p. Particularly in the multi color scheme.
  18. Boy Cliff those ejection marks are nasty. Do you think you can fix the ones on the top of the wing? Otherwise it's it will draw the eye everytime you look at it.
  19. Well the Polish markings went on well, the number seven didn't. As a result I'm changing track by using decals from other kits etc and try and make the plane on the box cover. At the moment the number three I have for the tail is a bit small, however I will look through all my kits and see if I can find something better tomorrow.
  20. It looks even better with the new decals. I will put up a new image once I have sorted the damaged roundel and corrected the paint on the engine. I'm in lockdown, so I'm getting lots of modelling done.
  21. I have started the decals. The big Polish marking have gone on well. My light spray of decal sealer must have helped. I will put up an image later today all going well. I'm taking my time and setting them and letting them dry as I go. I don't want another damaged decal like I had yesterday on my Aussie Beaufighter.
  22. Chris Thanks for pointing that out. I was influenced by my Corsair build. I will sort it.
  23. The Australian Beaufighter is back in the workshop. Daves second set of decals arrived today. They are already on the plane. Looks a lot better. Unfortunately I damaged one of the fuselage roundels when I was fixing a tail decal which had broken and gave me trouble getting it back together. The decals were very fragile and my sleeve must have touched the fuselage one. I'm kicking myself because I normally set them as I go and let them dry, knowing how clumsy I am. Still I will try to paint the damage tomorrow. Photo update in a day or two.
  24. Yes has turned out well considering the major problem I had. The landing gear went on very easily. I just need to get the cowelling painted. I gave the decals a coat of decal sealer so they should be ok.
