  1. This really did come up well. The conversion is faultless. How did you do the black? Is it a mixed colour?
  2. I've made a start on the Me 410 by black basing cockpit parts.when I get some of the cockpit built up I will put up an image. Should be in a couple of days.
  3. Well done getting it over the line. The rigging looks very tidy, not easy to do.
  4. Well Done Jack. That should have the majority of the Beaufighter types covered now. It looks really excellent.
  5. Yes a full on program. First finish off my Ju 87A-1 basically it is already up to painting stage. While I'm doing that I will start the Me 410. Once the the Ju87 is finished I will start the Mosquito. When that project is done both the PZL-24 kits will have arrived and that project will start. Once that is done I'm seriously thinking it is time to do my He 177 to go with the Me 410 and Ju 188A1. You might see a theme running through this program other than the PZL-24s. It is the mid to late war night bombing campaign over Britain. Doing both the attackers and defenders. I already have a Do 215E-4 in the cabinet. By the way. All in 1/48. I can do this now as I'm pretty well forced into retirement now by the pandemic. As I live on my own the hobby is keeping me sane at the moment. I haven't talked to anyone face to face for six weeks because of the lockdown. Have a look at my Do 17z which I finished today. It is in the WIP forum.
  6. Well it has been quite a while getting to the end of this build, now just on a year after starting it I have completed it. I'm generally happy with it. The only issue the photos show up is the canopy joint isn't as good as I would have liked. This is a result of the long build. I had it on perfectly until the guns started to drop into the interior, so I had to remove it to fix them. I haven't panel lined it because I decided I liked the factory fresh look of this plane. Next one I do will be weathered. The blue on the propeller isn't quite right, but close enough for me. More photos will be done for the RFI in a few days. Now I have moved onto another partly built Ju 87A1. This was another hard build that wore me down.
  7. RAY I'm happy to tell you my PZL-24 kit found it's way to me. So now I will have two to build one Greek and one what if Polish. These will be programed after the Me 410.
  8. Here is the like to the WIP post. There is a like in the thread that will take you to the GB thread. This will show you the resin tail.
  9. After 12 months of building time I have finally finished this plane. I have done it factory fresh. I will put up an image tomorrow.
  10. I will put it up on WIP tomorrow. It's been going for a long time, so I will have to locate it.
  11. Well done Walter. I like the idea of going for the original green camo. It also made sense of the heavy weathering. I will finish my Do 17z tomorrow. It is factoryfresh. I might change that later.
  12. Excellent build Ray. Really up to your usual standard.
  13. Excellent finish Cliff. Looks good in the Polish markings. The prop is well well done.
  14. Very good work Tony. Is this one of the Mosquitos that had the extended bomb bay for the 4000Ib bomb?
  15. As my Beaufighter project is coming to an end on the Bristol GB, which consists of four 1/48 Beaufighters, I’ve decided to do a new project consisting of a 1/48 Meng Me 410 A-1 and the equivalent Mosquito Mk.IV. I'm sure the Me 410 will be of the greater interest to this forum, so most of the WIP will be about that. I will show the Mosquito at the end of each major stage simply to show progress. I will add box images here in a day or two.
  16. Looking good. Your weathering work is excellent. You better get this done soon or I will have my Beaufighter Nightfigher waiting for you.😉
  17. Looking good Ray. I foundout why my kit hasn't been delivered. It was sent to Australia. This means it is lost, so I have ordered another one. This kit has got rather expensive.
  18. I found the decals were better than the Tamiya ones. I might have to give the nightfigher ones another coat of micro sol because I think they are silvering as you suggested. I had no trouble getting them off the backing paper. In fact I had to becareful not to leave the in the water too long. Also I find the panel lines are too fine. They didn't pickup the panel liner all that well on my TF.X. the Nightfigher may be worse. I'm not going to try and scribe then because my tremor makes it had to stay straight even with a guide.
  19. Jack the paint work is looking good. Strange you should mention the landing gear. I'm doing it on my Nightfigher right now. I have to admit it's a nightmare. The trick is to keep everything squared up. Easier said than done. The Revell decals are good to use.
  20. Thanks Rob and Gary. I think it is my favorite so far. Still the John Cunningham Nightfigher to complete. I owe a lot to Dave (Rabbit Leader) for supplying the Decals twice.
  21. Thanks for the kind comments guys. One thing I didn't mention is the aerial is home made. I stupidly tossed the sprue it was on into the bin in a mad clean up moment. Doing four Beaufighters can get rather messy.
