    Mig-23ms Academy 1/72 Libya

Sorry it was sudan air force, not Chad. In this link you can read about this resurrection process (http://spioenkop.blogspot.com/2016/09/back-from-retirement-sudans-mig-23s.html), one already crashed.

    Mig-23ms Academy 1/72 Libya

Yes! it was this version of the mig. Years later they adquired the ML version. The originals MS that served in the lybian air force are now on Sudan's air force, and after decades of just being stored they will be flying soon! Here's a pic of the new painted Sudanese Mig-23MS
  3. Hi! this is my last creation, a Mig-23MS from the libyan air force. The kit is the well known Academy, a copy of the hasegawa mold but with engraved panel lines. It´s not the perfect kit, but it depicts a mig-23MS, wich had a less powerful radar, other avionics cuts and a shorter range of missiles (iy¿t could only fire the Atoll missiles, the soviet sidewinder). So in other words it was a mig-23 with the capabilities of the mig-21. Here is the final plane: It was hand painted with humbrol enamels. The libyans roundels were also painted, and the decals came from spares. AH-64D Prototype/Early Italeri 1/48

Hello, more progress here. This is another photo I could find of the actual apache I'm building: IMG_9005 by basco.br1, en Flickr Humbrol 155: IMG_8973 by basco.br1, en Flickr Decals on IMG_9010 by basco.br1, en Flickr IMG_9011 by basco.br1, en Flickr I think the next post should be a RFI thread Cheers Bruno.-

    AH-64D Prototype/Early Italeri 1/48

Hello, there is a lot of advances since the last post. This is the cockpit finished: IMG_8927 by basco.br1, en Flickr IMG_8928 by basco.br1, en Flickr getting fuselage together IMG_8929 by basco.br1, en Flickr IMG_8930 by basco.br1, en Flickr IMG_8932 by basco.br1, en Flickr By now, the apache looks like this: IMG_8959 by basco.br1, en Flickr See you soon!! 9. Hello! welcome to this new building thread. This time I'll be building the AH-64D from italeri. This is the box: IMG_8899 by basco.br1, en Flickr This is the decal sheet: IMG_8900 by basco.br1, en Flickr As you can see, it only comes with three versions: - US Army, with some Mcdonell Douglas logo, so I guess it was the prototype, I could be wrong. - British decals, but this kit doesn't include any extra parts for a WAH-64 - A dutch version, with wrong roundels Because of that I'll make the prototype one, wich I could only find this photo reference: IMG_6623 by basco.br1, en Flickr So lets get to work!! This is the "Bathtub" IMG_8901 by basco.br1, en Flickr I painted black with humbrol 33 and I paint the buttons with a wood toothpick IMG_8911 by basco.br1, en Flickr Sadly, this kit comes with the A version of the instrument panel IMG_8903 by basco.br1, en Flickr So I add with some plastic sheet some squares to represent the screens. Then I painted them black and added gloss varnish to the screens and use the same toothpick to paint the buttons. I really like how it looks now IMG_8910 by basco.br1, en Flickr The seats are quite well moulded, so I just painted them black, and the cushion with dark gray. After that I painted the seatbelts. IMG_8902 by basco.br1, en Flickr Later I will put the final seats photos. This is how the cockpit looks now IMG_8918 by basco.br1, en Flickr. That's all by now. I would like to ask you if you have references of this part of the rotor: IMG_8921 by basco.br1, en Flickr IMG_8906 by basco.br1, en Flickr It's just black? gunmetal? Soon more progress!! Cheers Bruno.-
  10. Here is my first bird from 2018! A Spitfire mk14 from Academy. It was a fun build. Cheers Bruno.- PS: It's missing the yellow tips on the blades. I'm waiting a new humbrol 154

My spitfire is already complete! I'll make the RFI post and then I'll add the link here! thanks for following this short construction! IMG_8827 by basco.br1, en Flickr Cheers Bruno.-
  12. Hello everyone! This is my last project from 2017. This plane was in my stash for a long time. It was painted with humbrol enamels and a brush. Hope you like it! Spitfire Mk. XIV.c (Academy 1/72)

I already finished the painting, it's not perfect, but I'm kinda satisfied with it. The underside was painted with humbrol 166, and the upper par with 140 and 116. The yellow edge was painted with 154, but the paint was in a bad state, so I'll have to wait to paint the blade's tip till I get a new one. IMG_8816 by basco.br1, en Flickr IMG_8817 by basco.br1, en Flickr IMG_8818 by basco.br1, en Flickr Today I added some clear cot before the decals IMG_8819 by basco.br1, en Flickr IMG_8822 by basco.br1, en Flickr Have a nice day! Bruno.-

    Spitfire Mk. XIV.c (Academy 1/72)

Hello! I glued the main fuselage with the wings. It was a nice fit except or the upper part of the fuselage, Not sure if I did something wrong but it looked like this: IMG_8758 by basco.br1, en Flickr So I add some tamiya putty to fill the gap. IMG_8767 by basco.br1, en Flickr Here is the result after the sanding, it looks better imho. It looks like a Spitfire now IMG_8771 by basco.br1, en Flickr The next step will be the painting process. I will use humbrol enamels and a brush (the old way). See you soon!! Bruno
