  1. Well worth all the effort that you have put in on these two!Have decal set for a Danish TT20 with Dayglo green stripes if you fancy something different! MODeller
  2. Superb work! Detailing, weathering and finish just excellent! MODeller
  3. Nice job! Particularly like the exhaust work. MODeller
  4. No worries Steve, have plenty to occupy myself with! Forgot to credit you with the underwing serials! (brain fade!) MODeller
  5. All that effort really shows! Excellent work, like this one a lot, MODeller
  6. Not too sure about the next Ripple, possibly 1\48 Boscombe Phantom. Have 2 MODS to finish for Salisbury show a 1\96 ETPS Viscount and ooooeeer a Grey 1\72 Boscombe Hunter XE601 before it went Raspberry although I have another kit to do it properly! Need more info from Speedy as regards removal of "Sabrinas" which was done whilst still grey. MODeller
  7. Fantastic colour scheme and a kit I really enjoyed making. Here is my effort OOB and strangely enough in South African markings too! MODeller
  8. Great kit, but beware of translucent white decals, nearly ruined my Gulf version because of them! Cured by cutting out white vinyl discs from genuine F1 material. Another one on the to be completed pile! MODeller
  9. Thanks for the nice comments, its the Classic Airframes TT18, and went together far better than any other of their kits I have tried previously, it was given to me by a mate who found the CA experience too much and did not want to suffer any more! Looks like he made a mistake! MODeller
  10. I found most of the info I needed from Scale Models Dec 1989 issue and some good pics in "Target Rolling" a history of RAE Llanbedr. Modeller
  11. Beautiful work Garry! Will be visiting shop soon and bringing the gruesome twosome with me! MODeller
  12. Hi Stringbag, I have this mag issue. Would you like me to scan/forward on, its 7 pages long. PM me MODeller
  13. The red areas are Xtracolor Red Arrows (signal) red. The Stiletto missile is Halfords Flourescent Paint Orange from one of their rattlecans, funny this is never in the car paint section, either on its own or in the bicycle bits! MODeller
  14. Hi Daz, it was a supersonic "Target" missile capable of Mach 2.2 from 1000 to 70000 feet, must have been great fun chasing it! MODeller
  15. If I had not announced on Britmodeller that I had this one in progress I would probably still be putting it off! So take a bow people, you pushed me into finishing this "stalled" project! Standard CA kit with scratchbuilt Stilleto missile which had its origins in a 1\48 Heller Mirage missile if I remember right. Markings from kit, spares and homemade on printer. This Canberra was never completely converted to TT18 standards so remained a B2 MOD, have justt found pic of it as a tanker with nose refuelling probe, so that could be another option when the Airfix one surfaces! Hope you enjoy and any questions please ask! MODeller
  16. No the markings have come from the spares box, Modeldecal serials, homemade and Fineline photo target set. I am told that Model Alliance are working on a "Testing Colours" set of decals, but that could be a long time coming! These MOD schemes are one of my main "themes" so if you are looking for information feel free to get in touch as I have quite a lot of info on them. MODeller
  17. I used an article on XV371 "DRA Sea King Retires" Air World International February (no date) which I had in my "MOD" folder. Am contemplating doing it in 1\48, although at the moment am concentrating on getting a new batch of MOD models done for the Salisbury show in May. The Platypus radar version would be good fun and I have an old Airfix Mag article on that one! I now know who to cry Help to if I get stuck! Many Thanks. MODeller
  18. Thanks for the info! Never noticed as I had been more worried about "rubbing off" the Xtracolor whilst handling! Have removed lower base plate and checked with ref pics, looks a lot better! MODeller
  19. I have been thinking of this one in 1\48 as well! Not too difficult, short sponsons from Airwaves, retains 5 bladed tail rotor, I have a suitable vac-form spine radar (origin unknown). It would be a lot easier on the old eyeballs although my new varifocal glasses are a vast improvement on peering over the top! Nose weather radar was made from sprue. MODeller Thanks Bex, I am just too tight to buy a full range of paints! Canberra very near completion! MODeller
  20. Hi Everyone, Just finished this 1\72 Revell Sea King with homemade Heli Teli conversion. Excellent kit, and if you can get hold of the AEW boxing you get the full range of options as regards Tail rotors, Sponsons, Spine Radars, definitely eclipses previous Sea King offerings! Teli ball was made from the ends of S-55 floats (Italeri), decals a mixture of spares, homemade, and photo targets from the new Fineline set.Taken a while but we got there in the end! MODeller
  21. Photo of WH666 (B2) in 56sqn markings in Crowood Canberra page 63. MODeller
  22. Pleased to submit this photo of "Two Jags at Benson", which is my favourite pic since taking up digital photography. Taken with a Fuji Finepix 7000 at RAF Benson Families Day 2005. MODeller
  23. Well if it all gets too much you can wait for the new 1\72 Xtrakit version due this year! OOPPS Sorry! MODeller
  24. Truly excellent work! Will have to refer this to some of the "exprats" that keep rubbishing these kits! MODeller
  25. Why do all the "exprats" keep rubbishing these kits! Truly superb result! MODeller
