  1. Captured in Libya and adopted by Air Chief Marshall Sir Harry Broadhurst as a person hack. Minor modifications to Academy 1/72 kit. Sorry for the post with no pictures. I figured out what I was doing wrong! Here it is.
  2. That's a very nice Wimpy. I certainly appreciate the fantastic job some do on weathering, but I must say that I, too, like a really clean finish. All a matter of taste really. Nice job.
  3. Can you imagine, cruising along all safe and cozy-like in the dark when out of nowhere that thing lights up behind you! "Brilliant" build!
  4. American aircraft always look better in British colours. Love the CC scheme. Nice tribute to an international crew.
  5. Very pretty! A lovely build of an elegant aircraft.
  6. Lovely job! This one is definitely on my list. I can only hope to approach the quality of yours. Cheers, Mate. PS. pay no attention to the rivet counters
  7. Wow, that is lovely indeed. I have not tried Valom - always been a bit fearful that my skills are not up to it - but this shows what can be done. You have done a bang-up job on a very interesting subject. Love the Suez stripes, too.
  8. Oh does that every scratch an itch! I love captured aircraft, even if they are wearing stars and bars instead of roundels. Lovely build of a fascinating subject. Congrats on the camouflage, which looks daunting.
  9. Lovely Meteor. The aircraft themselves were simpler in those days, too! I remember when paint was a luxury that pocket money didn't often extend to.
  10. What a cracker! It's hard to believe that it is A: 1/72 and B: brush painted. Absolutely outstanding work. I wish anything I had looked as good. You have done justice to a beautiful machine.
  11. I must admit that I have never much liked the Whitley, as it always looks rather ungainly, but I also must acknowledge its legitimate place in RAF history and, therefore, its legitimacy as a subject for my collection. Your beautiful execution of the Whitley in Coastal Command colours gives it a sturdy dignity that creates a much better impression. I might just have to get one! Thanks for showing what a Whitley can be.
  12. I would say your seascape skills are A1, not to mention your shipbuilding skills. Makes me want to build ships!
  13. Those are really nice. I want to add one to my small collection of captured aircraft in RAF markings. Thanks for sharing your great work.
  14. Nice work. I have just bought a five-pack of Sword Seafires and your Spitfire bodes well.
  15. It's still 2019 here in British Columbia, but that's a fine looking breakfast, and a fine looking Mitchell. Gotta love Yanks with roundels.
  16. That's a hansom beast. I particularly like the understated weathering. Nicely done!
  17. You are right, it does look the part, and that's the most important thing. I really like the clean build. Cheers.
  18. Luvly! I'm a big fan of clean aircraft, whether that's because the originals were kept that way, or because they came that way from the factory. Could be that I'm too scared to weather my models, but I build 'em clean. Cheers!
  19. Gobsmacked! That's just beautiful. Rigging is especially nice.
  20. If it wasn't for the picture with your hand in it, I wouldn't believe it is 1/72! Very subtle, very nice.
