Looks really good! The turret looks very impressive.
And one question: the tracks from the kit?
Vytautas
Those are Friuls, but the kit tracks (link and length) are excellent.

I am presently working on a series of several (4) of Combat Armor Models Vickers 6-Ton tanks. These kits are some of the best-engineered and well-produced kits I’ve ever built and are definitely the best models of the Vickers 6-Ton/T-26-type tanks out there. CAMs has released 8 or 9 different variants of this important, but often overlooked tank. The most recent two releases are 2-in-1 kits of Finnish 6-Tons. Because each of the four versions are ones I’ve wanted to build, I picked up extras (CAMs sent me one each to review/build). The first one is of tank VAE 546 in its original state from 1934. The other version in the kit has an upgunned turret with a Bofors 37mm gun. The new kits have full interiors which are excellent and finely-detailed.
Since I am depicting VAE 546 as a “new” tank, it will not be heavily weathered or abused. I have a few detail items left to add, but it is getting there. The body hasn’t been filtered yet, but the turret and lower hull have, which is why there is a slight difference in finish.

Excellent build and finish!
The Bronco IX got me started a few years back on a bit of a Valentine/A9/A10 odyssey. I’m currently working on an AFV Club Mk. II (have Mks I, IV and IX finished as well as a few A10s). Ugly, but I like tgem!!

Very nice work! I really like these kits-I’ve built four and have four more in the stash for someday soon. Miniart really hit it out of the park with this series.
Yours looks great.

If the rumour that Gecko Models is going to make a Matilda I turns out to be true, the modellers' equivalent of sod's law would suggest that we'll have you and your hard work to thank, Wayne.
If that rumor is true, I’ll be getting one or two-I’ve been waiting a LONG time for this and a good 7TP and IBG released some nice 7TPs this year, so…?!

I have a Dragon StuG III Ausf B bought in the Orange Box rebox deal with a Dragon figurine set which I suspect is the same vintage mould? Overall dimensions are accurate. Incredible value, or was when I bought. Despite the mould's age, it scrubs up very well OOTB, and with a little evergreen sheet to the shot trap and some cutting and drilling of the hatch hinges for those who just must, doesn't look too shabby alongside the Tamiya offering once dressed up in its warpaint. Mine came with Magic-Tracks too! Very nice for the price, particularly as it included a figurine set too, which although Gen 1, are rather nicely sculpted. Was an enjoyable build.
Yes-this was the Orange Box issue too. The Magic Tracks made it well worth the price. Some of the detail parts and tools were not great, so I replaced them with PE and items from the Tamiya Pz IV on-vehicle tools/parts set.

Spectacular! This looks fantastic and your “hairspray” (or whatever it ended up being) technique is perfect. Figures look great as well.

Do you plan to do anything else with camouflage?
Vytautas
I think I’ll leave it as-is. Started working up a display base. Hopefully that will turn out better than the last attempt, which was one of the reasons this thing has been sitting for a few years.

I found this one sitting on my “Shelf of Doom” where it has been residing for several years and wondered why I never finished it up since it is close. I have gone back and forth with stowage issues and had a base that was a bit of a disaster, so I scrapped those and shelved the build.
This kit is the old Dragon Ausf. E Orange Box issue which I believe is based on the (now ancient) Gunze Sanyo Pz III chassis from the late 1980s. It’s an ok kit-not great, but serviceable. I have the Bronco Ausf Es which are a bit better, but the finish line is near on this one.
I’m going to try to finish this up and started in that direction today by adding some tarps to cover the stowage (a lead foil tarp didn’t end well) and the gun mantlet/gunsight areas.
Still a bit to clean up and work out, but I’d like to finally finish the project up this year.

I have this one in the pile of “I’d love to start this kit, but have too many that need to get finished first”. O’ll definitely be watching with interest!
And I love Miniart kits, but they certainly don’t follow the subassembly rule with sprues! I’ve been working on a T-34/85 for months longer than I normally would because you have ti have ALL
of the sprues handy and I don’t have the available space on a regular enough basis.

For my first-ever Group Build, that was a lot of fun and a great group of participants and encouraging commenters throughout. Will definitely have to not make it my last-thanks to Stix and Ozzy for putting it all together!

Nice work, looks fantastic.
What paint did you use for 4BO?
For this coat, Vallejo Russian Green Primer. The colour looks really good and sprays well.

This one got moved off of the bench a few months ago because it requires a LOT of space since so many parts are on so many different sprues. Still loving the kit, it can just get a bit overwhelming, especially for the cramped space I have to work in. I have most of the hull assembled and to give myself an injection of motivation, I primed it in 4BO Green.
I’d like to get this one finished in less than a year and its birthday is coming up, so I need to get to work!

CAMs Vickers 6-Ton VAE 546
in Work in Progress - Armour

Tank is pretty much finished. Need to put together a display base and get working on the modified version of VAE 546. These are terrific little kits and the ones with full interiors are very impressive.
