  1. You can definitely see the P-47 bones in the design.
  2. Yes my apologies I did mean colors found in the automotive section of model colors
  3. Thank you these help. I tried every combination I could think of C-130 Propeller 1/72 on scalemates and google. All I got were hand car ed wood display stuff. How did you find all of these links ??
  4. Looks good not too long now until we see the full colors.
  5. Hello skypilt … from the city of Chicago USA, just a bit south/south-west of you. I’m mostly a military aircraft builder but do other types for a change. Dennis
  6. Does anyone make A/market 6 blade props for these or the 1/72 Italeri kits ? I need a set of 4 x 6 bladed props for a different build that is turboprop but not a C-130. I have an old 1/72 Hasegawa Shin Meiwa kit that Id like to convert to a PS-2. https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:9904_Shin_Meiwa_US-2_JMSDF_(7575441596).jpg#mw-jump-to-license I know it wont be perfect but the original schemes don't do anything for me. Dennis

  8. I agree with 99% of everything you said but this last bit. ⬆️ I still think we will have dogfights between 2nd and 3rd tier air forces in brushfire wars. Using older 4th gen. fighters as they fall on the 2nd & 3rd hand market. Im thinking of countries in Africa, South America, South and central Asia ? The U.S., NATO, and varied Pacific allies will be concentrating on Europe, the Middle east, N.Korea, and China to worry or spend time on stopping/interceding in these smaller wars.
  9. Many Thanks Gentlemen, This helps me. I had been reading something and the writer said a brick had better dead stick characteristics than the Hun. I was curious after that about what the actual ratio was for the F-100 ?
  10. Here are two thread's by Badder, I know he was also working on preserving actual tree's/plant's for diorama’s. I think Glycerine is key but not sure how, ratios, and other important bits. In the links this kind of stuff would be in the last 6-8-10 pages of discussion. I hope it helps, just take your time reading through both threads. They're quite interesting and very good info on how to do stuff for diorama’s. I hope these help ? Dennis
  11. If I build it will be either this Canadian scheme or a Japanese aircraft.
  12. Welcome along with an odd looking bird. That cockpit aerodynamic bulge is interesting. However I’m happy someone is building one of these. Have you chosen a scheme ? Airliner or Spanish civil war ?
  13. Almost the exact scheme I used on my F3F. Of course seeing the results you’ve gotten now I want one of these kits.
  14. The real logs look better, they're are solutions on line to preserve them so they don't rot. I would look into maritime wooden ship models for anchor chain if the kit provided one doesn't fit.
  15. Im sorry for not responding earlier however I just realized you aren't doing the tractor as part of this build. The F-100 and F-104 would be interesting to see all lined next to one another. Great looking build though.
  16. Sounds like fun, I was able to sit in a RAF Lakenheath F-111 back in High-school here. Right after the Libyan raid in 1986. Would’ve been 1987 spring/early summer. Oh some of the fun planes Ive sat in or have seen.
