Hi Mike. The top pic was taken near my house in Parklands. There's a new sub division at the top of Aston Drive, right next to the beach. I got down there early in the morning (before all the joggers) and put the plane on top of my car. It was quite a hazy day and probably would have looked better with the sun out but it's very dark plane and doesn't photograph well. I use the same name on Trademe, helps me remember who I am. It's actually the first four letters of my last name followed by my initial.

The New Zealand Squadron in Singapore received 9 Hurricanes in 1942 to replace the ailing Buffalos. Most were destroyed on the ground in an air-raid before they saw any action. They didn't even get time to paint any numbers on them. This was done during a GB over at LSP. The rest of the build can be found here.
