  6. That's a lovely Sherman, Wayne! Which kit did you use and where did the markings come from? Peter
  7. What's not to like of a 1:72 Sherman πŸ™‚ Peter
  8. It looks the part, gamevender! Always good to see small scale armour on Britmodeller. Peter
  9. I recently finished the Heller M4A2 as Sherman III 'Sheik' from the Royal Scots Greys, as it appeared in the vicinity of Naples in 1943. This was for the Sherman Group Build on the Braille Scale Discussion Group forum. I just loved the tank's spotted 'leopard' camouflage and luckily Star Decals has it on their 'British Shermans in Italy' sheet. Although there is some discussion about the colour of the spots, I decided to go for black since other tanks in the unit were camouflaged in mud and blue-black, so they would have had access to that paint in theatre. I hope you like it. Peter
  10. Also like the little display and the depiction of snow on it. Thank you for sharing! Peter
  11. Great to see how a few small improvements make a big difference on the end result. Well done, Jerzy!
  12. What's not to like about braille scale armour πŸ™‚ Nice job on the Mirage M3! Peter
  13. Hi Jerzy, Lovely Ju388! I build this kit several years ago, but unfortunately it hasn't survived moving house twice 😞. Regarding the operational use of the Ju388: IIRC KG200 operated one or more aircraft for reconnaisance missions over the liberated part of western Europe in early 1945. I read about that in a book about this secretive unit and I remember the crew switched on their navigation lights over France in order to blend in with the crowd (of Allied aircraft). Peter
  14. Hi Steve, Thanks for the compliment. The Airfix kit isn't bad, but unfortunately lacks a bit in finesse. I'm converting mine to a 'regular' Sherman V (M4A4) and have used spare parts from a Heller M4 to upgrade the lower hull (bogies and transmission cover), in addition to the turret with the standard 75 mm gun. Peter
  15. Great work on the old Fujimi kit, the end result is amazing! Peter
  16. That is two nice little Dingos, Sardaukar! Peter
  17. Forgot to mention, I used tracks from OKB Grigorov as the kit's tracks remained sticky after painting.... Peter
  18. I was lucky enough to score a second hand Dragon Sherman Vc Firefly at my local hobby shop for a reasonable € 20, considering that some vendors on eBay ask the most absurd prices for this kit. I finished it as Belvedere from the Staffordshire Yeomanry, using a combination of decals from the Airfix Vc kit and Braille Strike. As usuasl painted with Tamiya TS28 olive drab, with details painted with Vallejo colours. Stowage is from Black Dog and O3D. I hope you like it. Peter
  19. Very nice T-55, Zoran. Amazing how the NATO camouflage colours alter the appearance of the tank :-). Peter
  20. A great looking Avia, Libor. I may have to get that 3D printed engine as well for the one in my stash πŸ™‚. Peter
  21. I've a keen interest in the Polish 1st Armoured Division as they were one of the main components of the Allied forces that liberated the Southwest of the Netherlands. They were also one the the few Allied units that used the Sherman IIa (M4A1 76mm) in addition to their Sherman Vc Fireflies. Several of these tanks ended the war in Wilhelmshaven in Northern Germany. One that caught my eye had a cartoon of a flying cow painted on the hull. I used a reboxing of the Dragon M4A1 (76mm) to build this model. The 'Flying Cow' decals were not included in the boxing I had, but a fellow board member on the Braille Scale Discussion Group had a spare that he kindly sent me. Painted with Tamiya TS28 with Vallejo colours for the details. Weathered with a black-brown pin wash and Tamiya's weathering set. The stowage is from Black Dog and the figure came from MIG. I hope you like it. Peter
  22. Nice work on the M4A2, Borsi. UM has some great Sherman models, but they do require a bit of work. Well done! Peter
