  1. Hi, I'm doing a simple conversion of the excellent Azur Vildebeest into an RAF Vincent but am held up by a lack of clarity with regard to the message hook.usually carried. Was it single-armed, attached to the starboard u/c leg (as I think it is from photos) or was it double-armed (V-shaped), attached to both? Any help much appreciated. Cheers, GrahamB NZ
  2. Hi, I am looking to build a 1/72 Revell Lancaster for the daughter of a crew member of Lancaster Mk.III JA865, AS-A of 166 Squadron, Kirmington, North Lincs (now Humberside Airport). This was shot down over Germany 23-24 November 1943 by Peter Spoden of NJG5, but the bomb-aimer, among others of the crew, survived to go into captivity. He was Ted Hunt, a New Zealander. I have very little information on the Lancaster now and would like to know what configuration this batch had - props, astrodome, small fuselage windows, cockpit blisters, bomb-aimers canopy etc. Can anyone help out with a photo or two of a close sibling of this particular aircraft? Anything would be a great help. Of course I don't know if this aircraft carried any individual markings as Kate has no photos - this was not her father's 'usual' aircraft. Many thanks, GrahamB Waikanae, New Zealand. PS off to the NZ IPMS/Nationals next weekend - Wingnutwings are 'pre-releasing' a new kit there.
  3. Hi Marko, the Heller kit wins by quite a lot - far more finesse and accuracy with corrugations, nacelle and cowling shape. etc - the Italeri is more 'charicature' with this. Cheers, GrahamB
  4. Hi, I'm looking to see if anyone has any spare decals from their build of the 1/32 Roden Albatros D.I? I'd really like to have the personal markings and serial for the D.435/15 - Spitzhoff option, although I've actually got the Encore D.II kit. I could repay any postage costs to NZ or could swap an option from various aftermarket decals (Fokker D.VII, Pheon Pup, Halberstadt etc) Cheers, GrahamB
