  1. Just read the whole thread thus far. Cracking work Red Dot! Your work is amazing!
  2. Very nice. You should take those "failed" builds and do a couple what if kit bashes. Create something that doesn't exist...yet
  3. Sorry for the lack of updates. Not much bench time lately. And even when I do, I'm just doing boring detail stuff like eradicating the kit's detail in the main gear wells so I can do my own and blending seams here and there. Not really pic worthy I'm afraid.
  4. It looks like you had to use a lot of filler on the nose. Is it that badly shaped? Nice progress!
  5. I'm for the everyday look. But of course depends on the modeller, A/C, time, etc.
  6. Good thing it's free shipping. Imagine what it would cost to post that thing seeing as it must be made of gold!!
  7. I'm so glad you posted the warning as my children are around!! Brilliant idea!
  8. I built that kit as a teenager and I can say mine looked NOTHING like that! Superb job!!
  9. Brilliant display!! It's the context that really sets subjects apart!
  10. Holy Mosquito, Batman!! And to think those almost got binned!!
  11. This site has some interesting pics. Not much on the required mods tho.
  12. Seriously, your attention to detail is amazing!!
  13. Ooohhhh!! That'd be interesting for sure!!
  14. Never trust a museum piece unless it's verified as a true, untouched specimen. You know how those restoration project managers just make educated guesses as to accuracy!! On a serous note, nice Sea Hurricane!! Fantastic job!!
  15. Sorry but I'm a bit thick sometimes. Are you painting her as depicted in the first photo, in her glory days, or as a well made up princess on her last act of service? As for AMARC I can attest to the ravages of the AZ sun (I live in the Phoenix area). Having worked for a company that had 5 A-4s to get parts from, even the best attempts to protect the airframes is at best a delay. Critters find their way into everything. The paint is all but gone (it is literally sometimes just a powder over the bare metal).
  16. I'm not sure if I'll ever build my Spit! Too many awesome jobs here!! Great job Lawzer!
