Found these images in a red arrows magazine I have. Top one is a grainy image which says is the only official picture of both in air together. Other is of them on line up. Sorry about quality of the photos. Taken on phone.

No worries not taken the wrong way. Just surprised that I never thought about this myself! Will have to have a look too. Like you said maybe a red arrows historian or someone with greater knowledge on them may hold the answer. Thanks

That looks great. Being a fan of the tigermeet schemes. I've got this in the stash and you have done a great job with it.

Looks good to me. You're braver then me when it comes to pe stuff. I've got a few kits with it in and look and think 'hmm....yes......,' and place it back in box. So well done for attempting it.

You know what, whilst building this bizarrely that question never entered my mind! If you find out would be interested in knowing as you have made me curious about this now!

Lovely model. Nice to see how this turned out. I am planning on using same markings for a mustang. They look even better on a finished model then a picture. Well done.

Thanks Steve. Glad you like the photo. I have only my camera on my phone which isn't very good so had to take photos where the best natural light / angles were available within my house.

Each kit has an led in nose which I soldered wire to. Wire runs down each acrylic rod which is covered by smoke and all wires are connected to a single cell battery holder with switch inside the base. I am not an expert in electronics so do apologise for poor description and technical terms etc. Never done anything like this before so was learning as I go. Quite a challenge making it all fit in the kits especially the gnat.

I agree it adds a little more drama to them but am happy to pose on wheels too.

Hi. I thought I would try something new and different to what I have done before. I have used leds and tried to display different eras of red arrows aircraft and liveries over the years. The smoke is made from cotton wool. First time I have ever done anything like this. All kits are 1/72 airfix. I am pleased with how it has turned out. All comments welcome. Thanks

Hi first post for about six months. Have not had a great deal of time for building kits. This is the airfix 1/72 hurricane mk 1 which is a lovely kit. I have used aftermarket decals to represent the aircraft flown by A. Clowes. All comments good or bad most appreciated. Thanks

You have done a great job with that. As a fellow brush painter I can really appreciate what a nice tidy result you have achieved. I like the weathering too. It's always good to see a SHAR.

Thanks Colin. The whole airbrushing thing does not appeal to me, it seems like a lot of effort compared to just being able to pick up a brush and dip it in a tin! I am sure that an airbrush gives a better finish but i am quite happy with paint brushing. Each to their own I suppose. Matt

Cheers Ian, I have always liked the 109 in these markings since seeing it in a book of Luftwaffe aircraft as a kid, so I wanted to do one. It's the markings of hans von Hahn I believe. It it is a bit of a dangerous landing place! I had to take pics by the back door as the camera on my phone is not great and that was the lightest part of the house on an overcast day!

Thanks Steve. It turned out pretty good considering my first attempt and with a paint brush. I am sure with some more practice I could improve the results. Overall pretty pleased with it.

Hi everyone, This is my 3rd RFI now and I thought I show my attempt at airfix's new tooled 109. This is a lovely kit, goes together well and enjoyed building it. I decided to use a mix of techmod and the kit decals. This was my first attempt at mottling. All brush painted using xtracrylix paints. I attempted weathing it but not sure if it may be over done.
