Great news as Cobra produced some great stuff -
GreAt info on what's available. I have found that the quality of kits in this scale varies wildly and as noted here even good manufacturers take bad kits and re box them. The info here is great to avoid these dogs.

Never an end to paint discussions.

I also like the ability to add and paint the spinner last. I can't imagine adding the prop and spinner at early stages of construction. My ham hands break everything in sight so I leave off props antenna etc until last.

Would love to see Airfix replace their old fury in 1/48 with a new tool.

I always debate how much contrast between the silver doped and metal areas of these aircraft. Enjoyed reading the discussion. Thanks

Enjoyed the build photos. I also built this kit and enjoyed it. The xtradecal sheet released also gives a lot of options.

One of the scary things about modeling IJN aircraft is the constantly changing consensus on colors. I imagine myself putting the work required on the wingsy kit and finding the color is all wrong.

I am a new member although I have been lurking for some time. I am interested primarily in interwar aircraft. I don't know how to post pictures yet.
