  1. Temper nah she just makes me look like a cute fluffy Easter chick!
  2. look Harvey another Viper.... COOL Oh real nice Julien, Just been looking at a pic of the same naval proposal.
  3. Well if you have to carry all ya gear around all day, that and the price kills it totally for me. I need a quad bike and trailer to carry all my gear.
  4. Is it correct that you can't take your car onto the airfield? And have to park across the road and bus or walk in?
  5. Thanks for all the advice guys. I will probably have a go with the airbrush at the weekend. Any advice on what to thin with and ratios? I use Revell and Humbrol Enamel paints. Also pressures?
  6. Thanks David. In using this compressor in the past I haven't noticed any pulses, but I have heard of this in the past.
  7. I agree it's a good show, but I feel you need two days there at least one to do the statics and the other to watch the flying. With Just one day cost £90 for three adults It's just too darn a expensive day out.
  8. Nose weight to stop it tail sitting?
  9. I would love to go but I don't think I can even justify £30 on an 'early bird' ticket. That would be £90 for Bex, Heidi and me to go plus fuel. Nah too rich for my taste.
  10. If I may I would like to tag on the end here. Like Speedy I have brush painted for many years. I know I need to airbrush to get good results. I have a cheapo diaphragm compressor and a Badger Airbrush. The airbrush has no number but from what I can see it is similar to a 200 syphon (it's about 30 years old) Used it with my dad once and we gave up with the dark art of airbrushing! I also have a couple of cheap syphon airbrushes that come with temporary tattoo kits I don't know if theses will be any good? Do I need to get a Gravity airbrush? If so how mush should I spend? Now I know opinions are going to vary but I need to have a clue as to what paint to use, how much to thin it buy and with what and what pressure to spray at with any of these? Any thought, and I do mean any as I'm a complete novice here will be appreciated.
  11. Got a bit more done last night. I'm quite pleased with the cockpit even though the fit was lousy, the decals are crap and I can't do fine painting to save my life. But considering it's only my second kit in 25 years it's better than the first Fuselage and wing assembly done along with air intakes. Still not impressed with the fit of this kit. Some bits, like the wing halves are a great fit, but I have one intake splitter that is a good 3mm out of place. It's going to take a bit of persuading and a drop of superglue to fix. Are all Hasagawa kits like this? It's the first I've ever tackled. Still no photos I'm afraid new Mac is somewhere between me and China!
  12. Another 1:144! You must be mad John. Good stuff though, well done
