Hello, could anyone help with the colour of the wooden "MAT" fin on British torpedos? Like the ones Beauforts would carry. All I can see from photos is a very bright colour...white or maybe light wood? Thank you very much. Alex

Thank you! Torpedo was easy! Acrylic black gloss, then Alclad aluminium. After that I sprayed acrylic matte Black for the "stripes". Finally I rubbed the black "stripes" with Uschi Van der Rosten Steel powder and Voila!! The trick is in the variation of the stripes. Thank you! Actually it is grey mottles over green, just like the real thing. With a Badger Renegade Velocity, patience and practice. Trial and error. And good reference. Thank you! Yes Patrick, Grigio azzuro chiaro over Verde oliva scuro. Thank you! Yes I have used surfacer 500 and then sanded down the fuselage. The stabilisers were totally wrong. I erased all the detail and masked and sprayed stripes with Gunze surfacer 500 again. But under all this camo, it is barely visible! Thank you! Torpedo was easy!
