  1. Remember, it's Lindy, not Linda! The first 35 pics I got were related to XL231, first "skin" was #59. Yes, I had to try
  2. I stumbled upon some pictures of the Lun-class ekranoplan here, if anyone's interested.
  3. Ah, hadn't spotted that thread - looks good Personally I wouldn't bother with the set, nice as it may be. You'll need to scratch the 'pit anyway and the rest of it's just "nice-to-haves". YMMV tho' and remember I haven't finished a kit for a looong time so my input might not be the best!
  4. I don't think the cockpit parts will be right for a Longbow, A and D IPs are quite different. As a guess, I'd say you can use seat straps, rotor, undercarriage, cable cutters, 'Disco' light, chaff/flare dispenser, wheels, rocket pod details, Hellfire missiles and launch rail assemblies. You know the sponsons on the D are quite a bit different from the A, right?
  5. It kinda looks like a normal pylon without the bottom half. I've only ever seen it on Swiss bugs.
  6. Found some pictures Showing the pylon, again. One without the pylon, but with live AIM-120A/B and AIM-9X.
  7. Swiss Bugs carry Amraam on a special outboard pylon, similar-ish to the outboard pylon on the Super. Not sure if they still carry sparrows. I'll see if I can dig a picture up.
  8. Look closely, I didn't say GBU-12
  9. You can send large letters as registered mail too, costs about the same as a package tho', IIRC.
  10. Found 'em. Links to hi-res at the bottom of that thread.
  11. Found a pic of a Goldstar with the loadout here. Note the dark patches on the left "BOZ" pod, those are the flare dispensers Spike mentioned. On the other pics I've seen, you can see what appears to be plume-detectors on the top of the pod.
  12. Can't seem to locate them right now
  13. Loadout is a BOZ pod, 1500l tank, BOL-rail on the pylon without a missile, GBU-49 Paveway IV *2, LITENING pod and 1 Brimstone on a triple-launcher. Spike posted some pictures that showed the other side too, which had the 1500l tank, BOL rail and what he referred to as a Terma pod, some countermeasures built into a BOZ pod.
  14. Sorry for not commenting earlier Ian, it's a great idea and nicely executed. I had some of the same ideas for a Raffy, but for the Marines.
  15. Yes, that is too obvious It's for the wayward offspring Yeah, my mojo was somewhat none-existant. Let's see if I can't get this done before the deadline
  16. Yes actually Iit's in the title, if somewhat obscure
  17. About time I got started, eh? Seeing as I was going to make a Typhoon and possibly a Rafale, it can come as no surprise that I've begun building a Tomcat Kit box 1/72 F-14A+ The beginning Since it's an A+ boxing it doesn't contain the NACES seats of the D. I just painted the seats black and ignored the loop-things on the top of the headrest and I'm calling that good. I'll be putting a pilot in them anyway.
  18. LuckyModel have Italeri stands
  19. I think the pod is the same one the Luftwaffe uses on their AG51 Tornados - picture here
  20. The nose is a good reference to which type it is The PW II used in '91 had a seperate "bird" on the nose, whereas the PW III just have an eye on the tip. In the end, your call
  21. Looking good! That RB199 nozzle is great, that much PE would scare the pants off of me! Which kind of Paveways did you get? From the picture, if those are what I see, they look like 2000lb penetrators, I'm pretty sure the RAF didn't use those in '91.
  22. Looking at Airliners.net, both. The search is here.
  23. The Kfir C7 was in service until '96, the first JDAM kits were delivered (to the US) in '97, with testing going on in '98 and '99. The C7s did carry Paveways occasionally.
