  1. My plan was to build mine as a Droop Snoot pathfinder, or the standard fighter. So, Ill have a look at what bits are needed.
  2. Does the Mil-8 have folding rotor blades? I cant find any pictures of it stowed. If it does, it's an option you might consider.
  3. Well some of that would have been helpful, up front! But a great point is made. Each aircraft is different, down to individual samples. The only way to know for sure is the be sure of the ONE you are depicting.
  4. I take it that you don own much other furniture, then?
  5. This is coming along alright, innit? Ive always fancied the Sppoky gunships. Even more notable is the fact that you are doing all your painting work with the fiddly bits in place. Gun barrels, aerials and so on - what a chore!
  6. It looks good - Id suggest that your 'mojo' has not gone as far as you think. That F-107 kit was my first look at a Trumpeter product. I though it was a little jewel. The fact that I picked it up for $2 at a charity shop helped my opinion, too.
  7. It looks very nice. Im curious, though: just where will you put the thing once finished?
  8. Very good answer. Its not commonly admitted that earth tone camo is for concealment on the ground; at least that is one of its features. I remember RAF/RNAF Nimrods being painted some color like "Hemp(?)", so they would blend with their tarmac sites. Or something like that. As for the Yanks goin to NMF's, it was also noted that there was little need to hide any longer, once 1944 rolled in.
  9. Thats about right! Ill chip in with something about scale viewing distance. When seen on the shelf from a proper distance*, rivets in 1/72 scale pretty much disappear. A "hint" of them is all that is required. Isn't 1/72 scale also referred to as "shelf scale," among others?
  10. Count me among those who had to sort out just WHAT she was holding in her hand.... Nice work.
  11. Youre doin' great - cheers on the magnifier. I dont sit down to work on a model without one, and now own three!
  12. Alright I have to ask - are you doing this 'bare eyes', i.e., sans magnification?
  13. Good point; gloves and goggles are in order.
  14. I didnt check my boxing for ordinance - does it include a toilet?
  15. Over here in the States we have a gasoline treatment called Berrymans "B-12 Chemtool." It is a concoction of MEK, Toluol, Acetone and a few sundry other VOC's. It comes in a metal bottle, about 500 ml I'd think, and does a passable job as a cement. A drippy dash in spirit thinner doesn't hurt airbrushed enamel flow or "bite," either. You might have something similar over there in the UK.

I know, eh? It looks like it is plotting its first chance to have a go at the model!
  17. What does it go for over there - 30-40 quid?
