  1. I have the AH-1W SUPER COBRA NTS UPDATE R.O.C ARMY 1/35 kit, and I have the AH-1Z Academy kit (which has a substantially correct fuselage). I did the 3d scans with the scanner and I know their shapes pretty well compared to the correct ones. In essence, the overlap I made makes the idea, and that's the point. Completely wrong the MRC model, rather correct the AH-1Z Academy model (the real "base" fuselage of a Z and a W is the same) and rather correct the SnowMan Model preview.
  2. Having made the inverted exhaust, the M197 turret (with 3d scan and CAD design) for the MRC/Academy model, I can say 2 things with certainty. 1) the photos definitely refer to a new model 2) The model is SnowmanModel is more correct than the MRC/Academy one. In the animation I created (Indicative only), I superimposed the profile of the MRC kit (Taiwan R.O.C.) kit with that of the SnowManModel and you can see the huge difference. Roof profile and tail look correct.
  3. An update on the parts I made for my Apache Takom.
  4. Hello all, I have started the AH-1Z/W 1/35 project, using Academy kits. Since several parts are common, I'm prioritizing these parts over the rest so that they fit both versions of my models and I'll post the results here. The part that makes the greatest contribution to enhancing the model is the M-197 A/A49E-7(V4) gun turret system. The only difference between the Zulu Cobra and the Whiskey Cobra is that in the latter, the IZLID laser system is installed. In order to mount it, the front panel with the hole where the three barrels pass through is excluded. The two side covers of the cannon are removable thanks to 1 x 1 mm magnets. The metal cannon barrels are the only parts I purchased. These are from Master and I'm waiting for the ones from Def Model.
  6. Good job @IV(AC)Plumb. I installed the main winch on my model. The secondary winch is the design.
  7. Compliments. I really like how SAR Queen is coming. Soon I will start making the left door with ladder and winch.Congratulations again on the job.
  8. The removal of printing media is not a difficult task. A little attention is needed. Yes British ( ground-based specimens These are the HC version with rear ramp) using this rotor
  9. To preserve the shape of the blades, I made a groove that will allow you to insert a steel wire of about 0.3 mm. Then the groove is filled with material that maintains its shape over time (it could be liquid steel in a tube).
  10. I installed the SAR Queen 2nd generation tail rotor.
  11. 3d tail rotor project completed. Next step print it and install it on the Airfix kit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HbyHeCodCD0&fbclid=IwAR0qeprOmqBNtLYR7vhU3U_cT35LBNyO22n8z8s3ppXKb1YKORoJg9ETgmc
  12. SAR Queen Mk612 is the name assigned to this helicopter .....
  13. Nose assembly test AW-101 SAR Norway 1/48 with sensors and upper cable cutter in one piece.
