  1. Yesterday on our late afternoon stroll. Video clip : https://www.flickr.com/photos/41392773@N02/35783411512/in/album-72157685098106166/ Best I can do with a small point and click with only 5x optical zoom. Weather conditions weren't ideal either. Where's David Lean when you need him eh?
  2. Wouldn't be too harsh on yourself as it looks to me that you've turned a not very nice build into a well finished model.
  3. Bonkers, but in a good way. And nicely done with it.
  4. An F15 would have that sort of shape - swept back wings & twin fins. There is, or was, a squadron East Anglia way. The reason I dropped by. Alenia C-27 (variant unknown) Northrop-F5 (E) - Patrouille Suisse - The world's prettiest jet fighter, bar none. Got to see most of their display as I was riding home. Possible Short Skyvan B52 on finals yesterday. And to save time, electrons and me boring everyone rigid just "google" RIAT 2017 for a comprehensive list.
  5. Like that a lot and agree wholeheartedly with previous comments about the quality of your paintwork. S'good!
  6. Possibly Brize. We see them around here now and again; another possibility if they were tracking the M40/A40 is Benson, but those are just guesses.
  7. Yeah they are noisy. Surprisingly so when compared to the Hercs. Anyway the reason I dropped by. DC-10, yesterday morning about half nine. Dark blue tail blending into fuselage so possibly one of the FedEx fleet.
  8. At aged parents place. Two Spitfires. Both uncropped wings, one armed with cannon. Roughly eastbound at approx. 17:35 and on return leg about 17:55.
  9. Lovely. One of my favourite aeroplanes.
  10. Ah. Air display season has started. Red Arrows nought feet heading NE at 14:10 and they were actually "over the house".
  11. Was out flying model aeroplanes earlier this morning and got some (not terribly good) images of B1s coming in to land at about quarter to eight. Some grainy video here. Aerial Loch Ness monsters
  12. I think you'd have to be be very, very fussy to pick holes in that. Very nice.
  13. B-1 at about 15:10. Tried filming it with small point and click camera. Waste of electrons; image is so grainy it could be the Loch Ness monster. Couple of B-52s at about 18:00 All 3 coming into land.
  14. A couple of B-2s turned up on SaturdayFriday. Article and video clip. You tube You'll get a very good idea of their size if you watch to the end and see them being put to bed.
  15. Wheels down. The only sensible scale for my resources, space and financial, is 1/72nd. I haven't got the skill to make the pilot figures at that scale look even vaguely realistic and an aeroplane in flight without a pilot would look....silly. The undercarriages on modern kits are often little works of art in their own right.
  16. Dear God, but there seem to be some deeply unhinged types out there. I may, or may not, be TheLurker
  17. Nice. How the blazes do you get such crisp edges to the canopy framework in 1/72? I always end up with raggedy edges no matter how carefully I mask the clear areas.
