  1. That's certainly one ugly beast! Doing the Dragon Panther A at the moment & certainly agree about the instructions, they really are that which produces growth when shovelled on the crops. I'm also wrestling with Zimmerit, got the turret done but made the mistake of assembling most of the body (exhausts etc), should have put the ruddy stuff on as I assembled the kit I think. If mine turns out as well as yours I'll be well chuffed. Pete
  2. Lovely job Owen. Certainly brought the memories back with that one, bought my first one from Woolies. I think it was in a plastic bag with card header (showing my age now!)
  3. Lovely. Nice to see a model of something I've never heard of. You seem to have cornered the market in unusual types, Miroslav. Pete
  4. Thanks for the link, good site. Bookmarked.
  5. Fantastic job, I love the fading on the panels - you've got it off to a tee. Pete
  6. It's certainly worth the pain, looks bloody good to me. One of the joys of the hobby, ending up with the silk purse. Pete
  7. Now that takes me back. Made one of those when they first came out when I was nobbut a lad. Good job too.
  8. I've just started the Hobby Boss Mirage III. It's quite nicely detailed but the cockpit is a bit basic & I'm not sure about the coaming / instrument panel fit & general accuracy. I'll replace the bang seat with a resin one. General fit seems ok but I've only got the wings together & put some nose weight in the fuselage halves so can't comment on the wing / fuselage joint yet. I plan to finish it in the desert scheme. (Mmm, desserts!) Price wise at £11 it's cheaper than the Eduard kit but if I'd been able to get my mitts on the Ed I would have. 9. Nice looking bird. I don't think I've ever seen one kitted before. Pete
  10. Merci de le traduction Antione. Although the way that Mirage pilot flew I think couillu sums him up - balls of steel (and I did buy him a beer that night!) One of my favourites: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=8b8fe10151 Pete
  11. Awesome, no wonder they wear brown flying suits! I remember talking to the Mirage 2000 display pilot in a pub on Saturday night after the Air Tattoo some years ago. One of the guys asked him what time he was going on Monday & could he waggle his wings. He said he'd do better than that & do a roll - he was as good as his word. As soon as he'd unsticked he rolled it! Absolument fou! Don't know what the French is for a b*llocking but I believe he got one!
  12. That's a rather nice Thud you've got there. Just started my first Hobby Boss kit, Mirage III. Pete
  13. That's a cracking build, I don't usually go for thing Japper Knees but that's a little stonker. Pete
  14. Fantastic job! I thought mine was good until I saw yours. Pete
  15. Lovely job on that Emil, the dio with the pilot & pooch really set it off. My Tamiya 1/48 one is in that scheme. I've been pondering about getting that kit, you've just convinced me! Pete
  16. I'm doing the Special Hobby Seafire at the moment & can confirm the fit issues. The cannon blisters aren't a brilliant fit, neither is the rear fuselage insert & the wing - fuselage joint needed surgery. I also found that, with the lower cockpit sections glued to the fuselage sides it's impossible to get the fuselage halves to fit with the instrument panel / bulkhead & seat mounting in place. I got round it by cutting a channel out of the lower bits & a bit out of the fuselage insides - didn't fancy trimming the instrument panel as I'd used the etched brass / celluloid instrument panel. It's got some nice detail, just hope I don't destroy it with the filler & sanding stick. Good luck with the build. Pete
  17. That's a superb job, the base sets it off really well. Hope that's got pride of place! Pete
  18. That's one sweet build Arkady, hope to see some more of your stuff on this board. Pete
  19. That's one mean looking beast, lovely job - just enough weathering. Pete
  20. That's a fantastic job Oliver. I'll look forward to seeing some more of your work on this board soon. Pete
  21. As Major Denis Bloodnok MT MT MT MT MT ("What are all those MTs for?" "I get tuppence back on every one") nearly said "Acrylic Flo, how I loved that woman"
  22. Stef, Not had much luck googling either but Mushroom Models do a book on British colours & markings from 1903. http://mmpbooks.biz/books/g4104/g4104.htm I have a copy of Steelmasters 86 (Avril - Mai 2008) which has a build of a Rolls Fordson in a desert sand scheme. Although it's a later model I don't think the colours had changed that much & it will give you a good feel for the vehicle. http://steelmasters.histoireetcollections....eros/80-90.html Hope this helps. Pete.
  23. Every reason to be pleased with that Paul, lovely job.
