Lovely build, ya just have to love a Spit! -
I'm hoping my model is delivered tomorrow so I can start it straight away, I'll put the Lanc on hold for a couple of weeks!

You are correct in what you say, if I had to get every detail right I just would'nt do it, I'm afraid taking it too seriously would just take the fun out of it, don't get me wrong I try to and do my best and to get it spot on but if I can't hey ho! I enjoy it and that's what counts!!!!!!!!

Well I have a Focke Wulf 1/24 scale with the Decals all shot to pieces, should I just throw it all away as I can't get replacement Decals for that scale, Naw!!! I think I'll have a fun build out of it instead. 109 Decals with a 109 markings I think.

Welcome from the East of Auld Reekie, saw the Hurricane video, I'll keep the rest for later, excellent work telling the history of Mad Mac! and not to forget the great work on the Hurricane.

Well here it is, my first WIP thread, this is an old kit I picked up on Gumtree for the Princely sum of £15.00, Supermarine Spitfire Mk11a, Hawker Hurricane Mk 11c and The Avro Lancaster B Mk1, The Lancaster will be the first to be done, in the guise of "The Phantom of The Rhur", followed by the Hurricane then the Spitfire. Going to try and use the paints provided but if their no good by now as in "Aged" I'll buy new ones. Just washed all the sprues ready to start once dry, so time for a cup of tea then I'll crack on with the build. And the real thing, Aint she lovely!

Lovely job on that little Brew, good things come out of Dundee after all. Just kidding!

What's not to like, you got the weathering spot on as well, great build.
-
I love a Spit, and that's a damn fine piece of work you've done there!
-
I'm afraid I'm guilty of binning.

Revell 1/48 Trojan T-28B, The Flying Bulls, Salzburg Airport Austria, 2009. A ten day build OOTB incuding the paints that comes with it, all painted with a brush, and I must be getting better as this is my 4th model since returning to the hobby and I only tore one decal. I only tried to lightly weather this as it's a well looked after aircraft, a couple of mistakes made but over all it's the best I can do at this time. Thanks for looking. And the real thing.
