  1. You all clearly don't understand copyright law. There is no prohibition against using an image in the manner I've used it in any country on the planet.
  2. The extended chord wing conferred a huge increase in high altitude maneuverability on the F-86. So much so that a crash emergency program of retrofitting them was implemented for units in Korea. Mod kits were sent to the depot at Tachikawa AB, Japan, and aircraft were ferried there for installation as soon as possible. I'm not intimately familiar with the details of that airplane, but it's a safe bet that if it was in combat after (IIRC) mid-1952, it had the hard wing with the fence.
  3. Dead Airways? Is that a zombie airline?
  4. Wasn't the 'sky' lower surface generally considered to be the DuPont Sky Gray color, not the RAF's green-grey Sky color?? At least the AVG birds, which came from RAF orders, had that color.
  5. Don't know. The first time I was there was 2010, so I don't have a point of comparison. Be that as it may, it's still light years better than any of the tourist overrun places in Mexico, or places like Honduras where you get your head chopped off.
  6. The only reason I go anywhere near Belize City is to get on or off an airplane
  7. Considering that the *red* maple leaf has been considered the de-facto symbol of Canada for as long as there's been a Canada, I'd have a hard time believing they painted a *green* maple leaf on their Spitfires.

  9. Nobody's going to mention the Hasegawa Spey Phantom???!!!?
  10. Note the lack of a horizontal stabilizer. Now fixed. I own one of the originals, and I'm filthy, fabulously WEALTHY!!!!!! I'll be in Belize if anyone needs me...
  11. Ordered a Frightening from an eBay vendor in the UK, and surprise, surprise, it's got the original stab-less box art! I'm RICH!!

Well then you'll have a challenge on your hands. If that's what you're after... go for it. If you *really* want a challenge, convert a 1/48 Spitfire into a 1/144 747SP
