  1. Hi There. I am building a scratch-model of my fathers MGB. It will become a 1:32 scale. I am using this kit as a template: https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/8/1/4/197814-30596-94-pristine.jpg I am creating the car, but the wheels are hard to create. I would prefer to have spoke wheels like the car on picture. I can use the one from my Airfix-kit, but I would prefer not to slaughter my model. Do some of you where I can get similar wheels? They are 21 millimeters and the width must be 4 millimeter. 8-)
  2. This is just amazing! Lovely video, @Badder. Your work is, i do not have words! The details of your model i absolutely wonderful. "Building a ruined model is harder than a new ". I always appreciate your updates. 8-)
  3. How wonderful! I have been looking for the 13/60 since my father has had one since the mid 70. We used the car as hobby/2'nd car until mid 90. It has been stored since. 100% original. (The original wipers is there). If i find a 13/60 i will make a model of this. 8-)
  4. Wonderful Metro you got there. Your soap-idea was great. I have got the problem you mention, but never came across that idea! Smart! I will remember that! Really nice work! (And a historic car!) 8- )
  5. Yes! You are right! I can see that on the box. The web shop have made a mistake and copied the same description for both. The "non Centennial " description have been put on both. Then the more expensive one looks more interesting. Thanks for your help, everybody! 8- )
  6. Since i was a kit I have been fascinated by the story of the Titanic. That is also why I have been dreaming of building a model of this ship. Unfortunately it will be large, but that is a part of the game. Again, after seeing a movie about the ship (again), I am looking for some models and information. Unfortunately, the 1/200 Trupeter kit will be too large. Then I will build me a problem…. But a kit in 1/350 might be OK. There are some different kits on the market, but I have seen the Minicraft, 1/350 Titanic Centennial Edition , and of course Minicraft 1/350 Titanic. They appears to be the same; “More than 400 parts and photoetched details”. The only difference I can see is the label “Centennial Edition” and the picture of the ship on the box. And of course, the price. The “Centennial Edition” is about $130 and the “non Centennial” is $220 dollar. Well if the “Centennial” contains the best parts and equipment/information that will be the best to go for, BUT if the “non Centennial” is the best that might be worth the extra price..? (Prices are local-norwegian) I guess both will be same kit and (good?) quality and be the base for some additional add on snacks? Centennial: The "non Centenial" 8- )
  7. This smells "A matter of life and death"! Cooool. 8- )
  8. The sandbags, are these some parts you have bought or have you made them out of something? This is really looking nice. I am looking forward to follow the progress. 8-)
  9. Holly stepping Jesus! This is one million kits and models that will be put into one! Wonderful! I can remember we took cruise ships to England (from Sweden) in the 70. They had a game called "shuffle?" at the top deck. I do not know if Titanic had? This kit is absolutely fantastic! 8-)
  10. Really nice project. Titanic is a wonderful model, and has a dedicated place in history. I future I will get one in my building queue. I am looking forward to follow you progress! 8-)
  11. I just love to follow your work, @Badder. Your work is fantastic and gives me ideas and inspiration. 8-)
  12. Amazing kit! All those details. I am looking forward to follow the progress. Titanic is a ship we all have some relations to. Most of all because of the name and history. Some month ago I saw a film about "all things that went wrong". Interesting. I have often hold a kit of Titanic in my hands, but never bought. I like yours. And those figures will make it marvelous! 8-)
  13. You are really lucky who are having a good helping hand, @Renek! 8-)
  14. Really nice. I had a 66 Surf Blue Cooper S some years ago. I made a model of this Tamya. Unfortunately I forgot to swap the wipers for Left Hand Drive.... The Tamya kit did not have the correct rims. I put on MiniLite, but my car had the standard 3.5x10. 8-)
  15. Really nice! One thing that came into my mind is that the kit is that it contains the Austin Cooper grill, and the car is Morris Cooper. The grills were quite similar, but the Austin had the bars horizontal aligned (in running direction) and the Morris had the bars slanted. Not so easy to see, and even harder to solve. (On my kit I skipped to make a "fix"). Not best pictures, but the Austin Cooper MK1 And the Morris Cooper MK1 You might guess correct; "The Austin grill gave the best cooling for racing..." Very nice model!! And a pleasure to follow your building progress! 8-)
  16. I used a black pen/marker to make the black line between the windows. That worked fine. On the real car there were brushes/fur on this. Prevent noise , dust and cold air from coming in to the car. Did it work? Well, this came in from all other places. So it worked for this windows. The picture above is from a standard Mini 850. Your (and mine) Cooper S has the chrome protection plate in front of the door "pocket " as and the "door stopper" is not the belt, but a more fancy thing made of threads and strings. To open the door the picture has the standard black thread. The kit, and my S had a chrome handle. I believe this was standard for Cooper/Super De Lux and optional for others. 8
  17. Beautiful, @wimbledon99! This becomes nice! But it becomes dark with the black center part on the seats. Originally this part was white. I like the red color you have. It becomes close to the correct “Tartan Red”. I am looking forward for the progress! Nice work! 8-)
  18. Great. Such a big gun! I believe it will be working dangerously fine. 8-)
  19. Really nice this one! You are creating a nice product out of an "easy model". This will become very good! Looking forward to see the progress. 8-)
  20. But guess what, @Badder; You have given us a lot of good time too! Lots of good ideas, lot of good pictures, lot of help, lot of tips etc etc etc. I will also give you a "big hand" for the work you have done and for sharing this and the thoughts with all of us "out here in the wild"! 8-)
  21. Rally nice bike! I am looking forward to see the progress and result! Nice kit! 8-)
