  1. That's very very nice! Love the camo well done mate
  2. Very nice build there mate, congrats
  3. Sorry I wasn’t very clear with which kit I was referring to it’s the 04891 kit I was after the one with bombs, but as I’ve been told by Dave the other kit is the same only missing a few weapons and smaller parts which can be rectified with aftermarket parts so looks like that’s going to be the way to go, thanks for looking though mate
  4. You have me sold that’s a stunner mate well done I see you have a f-15 fettish lol I’ll get mine ordered with a few extras thanks very much for your help today mate! 👍🏻
  5. I see so the one with bombs is an updated version of the other kit? That’s perfect mate thanks for taking the time to find them I’ll get busy ordering
  6. Yeah that’s pretty much what I figured it’s a shame cause looks like a great kit but I have a tornado in the stash so that will have to do for now, cheers
  7. Yes have looked on eBay and the only sellers are in the USA and demand very high prices I don’t mind paying a bit but 4x the price plus tax no thanks lol
  8. Hi all I’m nearly finished on my tamiya tomcat (see in ready for inspection soon) and like the look of the Revell f-15e for my next build to sit next to the cat, only trouble is I can’t buy one from anywhere and I mean ANYWHERE! Amazon has one for £95!! Which is completely ott! Have I missed something or is it so popular it’s sold out all over the world! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  9. Lovely build mate the mottled effect is spot on! Rich
  10. That looks awesome! Great work mate. I'm looking forward to airfix's new offering
  11. Built one of these a while back and thought it was a nice kit with some great detail and options. Look forward to seeing what you make of it
  12. I'm sure you will looks great so far buddy
  13. Ok mate I will follow with interest and good luck!!
  14. 3 awesome aircraft I once built a Tamiya f-16 and was probably the best kit I've ever come across. I'll take a look on your page and give them a follow if your posting wips
  15. I imagine there would be an urge to rush it? Or maybe that's just my impatience. I enjoy model making more than any other hobby I have but still find some aspects laborious as I'm sure a lot of people do! What are the builds out of interest?
  16. Was it a champagne driven resolution? Haha I think doing the different stages 3 times over all at once would drive me mad so you now have my full respect
  17. Thank you mate I'm really enjoying it and feels nice to build something a little different! I'd love to see what you made of it like you say it's a great kit but as mentioned above I did find a couple of fit issues but they were easily sorted. And 3 builds! Hats off to ya I thought doing one a month was good going 😂
  18. So after a lot of sanding I've got the paint down and post shaded. Not happy with my masking as there are parts on the top camo that are not blended and will need respraying but happy with the scheme.
  19. So again to my shock the fit on the wings isn't great either! Not the worse I've come across but a significant step on the lower fuselage and small gaps on the top of the wing nothing a little filler and sanding then rescribing can't fix but I'm still yet to find that "Tamiya fit". But I expect I'll have it sorted and first lot of paint on in no time.
  20. Got the interior finished and fitted, there were loads of brass parts to put in this and was extremely fiddly but I got there in the end and although the photos are not great it looks the part. As for the fuselage halves they went together well but unlike other tamiyas I've built and to my surprise there were small gaps that needed filling and sanding specially toward the rear wheel housing but it wasn't a big deal cheers rich
  21. Thank you natter! And how would you go about stretching cotton? Sounds like a plan cheers
