1/72 PBY-5A Catalina "Black cat", Academy+Eduard

Wonderful build. I didn't realise the Academy PBY had recessed details, I thought it was as rough as the Airfix kit -
Very nice!

Very nice! I like what you did with the Fw-190 parts

Bristol Britannia vacform (Subject name change)

Very nice! Can anyone tell me the actual name of the 'a shape form thingamujig' tool I would kill for one, I've been using paper and it really sucks -
Have you considered using an Arduino to control all of the electrical components? It's like a mini circuit board for making prototype and things but they're easy to use and code!

Hahahaha, don't get me wrong Im sure it makes perfect sense to a native speaker. But to us linguistically inept Brits, it's daunting to say the very least

Veeeeeery nice! I have the new Academy 1/72 and I thought it looked dreamy! Excellent result

Good old Airfix. Revell is really good for that as well. Something I dislike about other companies, particularly Hasegawa, they charge so much for pretty standard kits.

Look forward to see what it looks like with some paint on it!

I've seen this one in model shops, I've always wanted to pick one up. I managed to get a 1/48th early IL2 by Accurate Miniatures with a whole bunch of resin on eBay for a really decent price. Look forward to seeing what you come up with man!

Really nice paint work on it

Very nice! I didn't even realise Airfix had a MiG. Excellent paint job

Hey! Thanks for the replies guys. I've seen that picture of those guys working on that BPD. Its pretty decent but I think I'd struggle to pull any kind of measurements from it with any level of accuracy. I was thinking about trying to scratch one entirely but I'm not sure I have the sanity for that. I did see a Merlin II that might be applicable... Think I might go with this guy, thoughts? Cheers!

Very nice! I was surprised at how big those are the first time I seen a completed model in 1/48th

I've been trying to learn the language, I'm on an erasmus exchange in Stuttgart. They love their compound words - the space bar on a German keyboard is never used

Who produces the best modelling paint
Murray replied to will2017's topic in Work in Progress - Aircraft
For me using an airbrush, I would go with Tamiya for ease of mixing/thinning together. The guy at my local model shop (Wonderland in Edinburgh) said that you get the most paint for your money with Revell acrylics, however they don't mix as well, although I have never tried spraying them. I have brush painted with a couple and they came out excellently. I would say it's personal preference, and that there's not a '1 paint to rule them all' as convenient as that might be. Each company's paints will mesh best with certain people's painting styles, along with what and how they are painting! Something I picked up with Tamiya paints, I read or seen it somewhere its not of my own discovery, but if you fill a freshly opened paint pot thats full of paint with their X20-A thinner, it sprays really well and is super convenient. -
I think the Revell Ju-88 is probably the best representation for a Junkers at a decent price - like £10-15 on eBay

Looks good man! -
Looks good! Is this the new tool Revell kit or am I mistaken?

Also I should've mentioned, that the build is actually done and the video is up! (This was an early effort, the content I'm working on right now is of a better quality haha)
