  1. Thanks for Your recomendation. It`s very important for me and for my project. But I looking for any additional material for the IL-4 in Finnish AF service. (The Roden Opel Blitz it`s easy to find here in any UKR models shop ). Cheers. Andrii
  2. Do You remember who is author of IL-4 WIP the idea?
  3. Thanks for that. I agree. An idea with foil applying has a good sense. This method gives the realistic visual effect of skin, corrugated surface and good base for chips.
  4. So far so good! Slowly and carefully I make chip through paint to metal skin. I use a sharp cutter and magnifying glass (and emotions restrain of course). to be continue...
  5. Hello, friends. I slowly step by step continue to publish the results of my WIP.. Painting is in progress. Very important! Before applying a yellow stripes mark (propeller blades tip and fuselage and etc), You must cover the painting a neutral color zone first. I use a silver for that. ..end engines exhaust ducts... are done. Cheers. Andrii.
  6. Thank You for your comment, Tony. The diorama will be built in future I hope, and I could find the figures in 1/72 scale perhaps. A suitable display may be as a both engines maintenance by finnish airfield staff I think. But first of all I have to do a final work with aircraft painting and etc. May be I can start to diorama work in next year (or over the next few months). Sincerely grateful for Your help. Thank You. Cheers. Andrii.
  7. What do You think about (for example) an engines cowlings location? I propose to make it and put separately, in front of the aircraft (on the ground).
  8. The next step of this project is the painting of the upper side of aircraft. It will turn out of well I hope.
  9. The red markings ("no step area on flaps") must be applied I think in according with the aircraft painting standart. Sometimes these designations are lost from operation of the aircraft, and this is normal. But in any case, such as a red "no step" marks are appropriate for this model I think.
  10. Hello. A very interesting and effective solution about foil on the skin. I like it. Sometimes a great effect gives small local riveting seams as opinion. In any case, it`s a great work! Best regards Andrii
  11. Actually in this kit I found many inaccuracies by the manufacturer with the drawings. I tried to correct it as far as possible. In any case, this kit is satis because it is the basic for the modeller`s creativity.
  12. Thanks, I will check it again, but I dont know that I have left (remained) from original kit by ADP Master models already. Many parts were reworked during the process.
  13. A very interesting project. I wish success You in the WIP. In my opinion, everything should be well, as allways. Best Regards. Andrii
  14. Thank You, Tony. I will keep up all the plans and steps so punctually as possible. I really appreciate you interest to my work. Thanks.
  15. Thank you! I have a plan about foiled skin in future, after completion of painting. It`s necessary to perform a local crack of paint over the liners and panels (like a result of external influences activity).

  20. Thanks for the comment, Benedikt. My productivity level and work speed are not satis. I have not enough free time for the hobby. An additional workload occurs in the process of a build, it`s true. I`m waiting for the last stage of the final work. Fiddly I know, but I have no choice. It`s a very intresting project in the history of aircraft.
  21. Hi, friends! I have to continue my W.I.P. and I can to show You the result of my work for today. The external componens that have done completely and installed on place correctly. List of the external parts in according with scheme of component location: - landing light assy (light bay, light&lens); - pitot probe tube (I reworked basic part of kit); - Venturi probe tube (changed material, the original part from box is discarded); - antenna`s mast; - rudder mass balance. I am happy! Engine M-88. The structure of engine is based on a main parts from box but upgraded and reworked during the process. Cheers Andrii
