Will any primer work or should I buy specific primer? it's hard to get in Dubai harry
-
Hi everyone I'm having a problem when brush painting my models, I use acrylic paints which mostly consist of humbrol and revell and various others, when ever I paint I always wash my kits, I don't use primer (though I will now) but if I leave the paint to set overnight, it can be easily scratched off! Does anyone know how to stop this? Harry

That Venom looks amazing! I've never been lucky enough to see one fly though I have been around the raf venom in Oman, or what's left of it... looters and souvenir hunter have claimed the rest looking forward to the build! Harry -

Is there an update to the build at all? harry -
Thanks guys, that helps a lot! I'm not sure when I'll be making the diorama, it all depends when I can get the kits, but never the less, all research helps! harry

Another quick update, I'm thinking of making the Vulcan a diorama, can anyone suggest any addition parts I will need? I haven't seen any ground crew or equipment photos related to a avro Vulcan, will I need to scratchbuild the additional parts? or are there any sets, if it helps at all, I'm making XJ824, just incase you see any photos or anything of her. harry ps, do we have any Vulcan pilots here on britmodeller?

hi everyone The airfix Vulcan has ben taken out of the box of failed model kits, I fixed my problem with the air intake in the end, turns out it was a simple fix, , apart from that, nothing else has happened really, I decided to have a break from the Vulcan as rescribbing was getting tedious, I was working on my Lancaster bomber, but really nothing can compare to a avro Vulcan!
-
https://postimg.cc/image/bnw0svi9j/ Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've had a few problems with the kit, and also revision for exams took priority, nothing much has happend, I've just been rescribing, I'll keep you updated harry

Thanks Sam, I've decided to scratch build a peice, the only problem is I don't have any long thin pieces of plastic, but I'll have a rummage through the failed kits box and see what I get! harry
-
Unless I make the Vulcan with only 3 of those air intake blade peices, which wouldn't make a huge difference, as you can't really see the part, what do you think guys?
-
Hi everyone, a quick update, the progress of this build won't be updated for a few months because I've somehow lost a peace of the vulcans air intake, so I have to wait until I next go back to the uk to get the replacement peice, sorry everyone
