  1. I would to try the SOLVASET so Is there a UK store that hold this product?
  2. I have built a 1/48 Phantom Whatif with the German camo/Usaf marks: Even it's a whatif I have studied and applied carefully the paint using the instructions contained in the 1/48 F-4F Hasegawa's box and from another source. I have used the XTRACOLOR enamels from the German modern range: Here up there is the COMPLETE range of tints used from me. Caution: the schemes contained in the JPS site are completely different from the Hasegawa instructions. But, looking at the images found in internet on the Usaf/German F-4F I have choose to follow the Hasegawa paint scheme.
  3. I need a little help: I'm building a 1/48 F-4D, the 65-659 with the TAN "washed" to a light green using the decals from the sheet 48063 by XTRADECALS. Is there someone that can give me a suggestion where I could to find almost a color image of the true aircraft??? I'm building this model completely at the blind, the only source that I have is the drawing on the XTRADECAL's instructions sheet.
  4. Sir, I need a little help on the Iwata "triple action handle" : do you know if is there available for sale only a spare handle or, better, if is possible to find the entire set of coloured handles without the need of to purchase another full set???
  5. The italian air force use the RAL colors (not FS-595) The codes should be: GLOSS BLUE : FS 15050 (RAL 5013) GLOSS RED : FS 11105 (RAL 3002) GLOSS GREEN : FS 14110 - (RAL 6001) GLOSS WHITE : FS 17875 - (RAL 9001)
  6. Bad news... but thank You at least for the 1/72 version. If one day You will do a 1/48 I will be interested anyway.
  7. I was interested by myself at attempt the 1/48 conversion from a TYPHOON to a EAP so as that issue of SAMI has get out I read a lot of times the article inside the magazine but then I let loose. If I recall well, the EAP did use the entire rear fuselage taken from the TORNADO but also this area requires modifications. Worst of all, the entire front part need to be scratchbuilt from ZERO. I'm an avid Whatif builder but one thing is to invent a model using the fantasy while another thing is to replicate faithfully an existing model starting from a scale drawing. while I was recovering informations to build the my EAP in 1/48 I found the traces of the EAP 1/32 done by Mr. Haggas in 1988:
  8. I start this thread saying that I have owned an old Pegasus EAP in 1/72... From which I see there is absolutely no parentage between the old Pegasus Eap and the new resin model!!! I'm writing here because I am interested to know if there any chance of to see this new EAP scaled up at 1/48.
  9. Perfect, I will try the Tamiya X-20A. The very old Esci Decals are the perfect ground for every test about the decal setting solutions.... they offer 100% silvering!
  10. Hello, as before of all I say that You have been able of to do a "model" from the Esci Kit that I consider a desperation as base. GREAT JOB. As second thing I have a question: which kind of TAMIYA THINNER do you use as decal setting solution? The Yellow cap Lacquer Thinner or the X-20A Acrylic Thinner? To tame the ESCI's old decal I use the Tamiya Green Cap glue but it's like to use the dynamite: sometime I get strange results.
  11. Few moments ago found a website that speak extensively about the T-5 conversion with a lot of good images: LINK
  12. Hello, After a year I'm ever looking to know if there are news on the Two Seat 1/32 Lightning conversion. Good News? No news? No hopes?
