A black buck Vulcan would count. Either over the Falklands or landed in Brazil with a broken FR probe

Group Build Future Policy - the next order of business
Colin W replied to Enzo the Magnificent's topic in Group Build Chat
Some great comments on here. I agree with @trickyrich in that the Group Builds are the best thing about Britmodeller and I use them to regulate my build sequence. The variety of GBs means I usually have something to build from the stash. For the first few years I disagreed with the idea of revoting but actually now I understand it I realise it works very well. This year a couple of the GBs I really wanted fell by the wayside early on so I was able to move my vote from them to affect the mid ground scrap and help those which were not my first choice but I have more chance of joining. This is really the fun part of the bunfight and actually increases the chance of joining in. Thanks To @Enzo the Magnificent and Rich plus all those who make this so interesting. Maybe we should have a GB table at Telford? There were enough of us there! -
Really looking forward to building my MiG-25PD Soviet Heavy Interceptor Fighter racer in the Ukrainian, baby boomers, track day, double supersonic, Asian Group build.

I normally only vote once but Ive voted thrice tonight. I have a special build if Double Supersonic wins so vote Mach 2 whether your hair is onfire or not!

Looks like a great kit and deserves to be turned ito a great model. Watching with interest

Some more taken off the wing and correct profile appearing. More work on the wing remoes the extended tips and out rigger fairings. The flaps now assembled from the Tamiya kit and thinned ready for the wing to be fitted.

Im still up for this as I have a few Special Hobby Fireflys in the stash as well as the Alley Cat Meteor drone conversion kit. I have conversion sets for the Meteor TT20, Defiant and Avenger plus I've always fancied a Swedish Firefly in the Yellow scheme. I believe the old RNHF Firefly 5 was actually a TT5 tug so lots out there to do.

I can safely say that I would contribute heartily to this.

I don't understand why people are saying about limited scope in this years group builds. As @bianfuxia notes you can build almost anything this year. Most cars trucks and aeroplanes from 1920 to 1965 will fit into either the classic transport and baby boomers depending on age. I'm freezing, Asia, bookfilmsong, Nato and mig are all very wide scope. With the new Airfix Seaking I'm surprised the helo build is not ar the top! With a bit of imagination there's no end of opportunities. I like the idea of building a spitfire in all the group builds, that would be a challenge. Did the Flying Tigers have Spitfires?

Power tools do have a place in modelling! 🦺

Living on a prayer Eh! I'm still adjusting to my U2 sat nav. The streets have no name and I still haven't found what I'm looking for.

Before and after another session on the belt sander. See all that beautiful detail on the top? Well we dont want any of that. The whole thing is flat now.

We had a special GB for the end of WW1 in 2018 which was very popular so doing the same for WW2 makes sense.

I tried to email Bugs Bunny a letter but apparently he only accepts Whatsapp docs!

I'll vote for you @TonyW if you can promise a holiday in Wales with an RS Escort and Michelle Pfiefer. Fangio can drive.

Your work bench has a somewhat cylindrical look about it! Apart from the tank thingy which is square.

This is a great kit. I built mine a few years ago but well worth finishing.

Here I am at the start of the KUTA 23. I've joined the fuselage halves and cut away the top of the fuselage to take the Kinetic wing. This wing has many advantages over the Tamiya ones but I notice its a lot more raised over the engine (4mm). I've filled the wing with milliput so I can reduce it on the belt sander to give the flat upper profile of the Kestrel. It makes sense that the engine covers were lifted as the engines became more powerful but the airframe was still the same size.
